Abstract
1,002,779. Pontoon rafts. FLEMING & FERGUSON Ltd. Aug. 25, 1961 [July 1 1960], No. 23112/60 Heading B7A. A floating structure including at least two buoyancy units 2 and a non-buoyant unit 3 has pressure fluid actuated piston and cylinder arrangements 1 to move the units 2 with respect to the units 3. A strengthening member 6 is rigidly connected to the unit 3 and connected at each end to a unit 2 by a leaf 9 which rotates about a vertical axis from a normal to a co-planar position with respect to the member 6 as the units 2 move away from the unit 3 and vice versa.
