Abstract

1,001,980. Shoe remover. A. E. CLEMENTS Ltd. April 9, 1964 [Jan. 17, 1963], No. 2173/63. Heading A3B. A device for removing shoes comprises a pair of spaced upwardly-extending walls having intumed tips at their upper edges to form a pair of surfaces which converge in plan view and are adapted to grip the heel of a shoe on one foot, and a base 1 having at each side a ground engaging part, alongside but below the converging surfaces, by which the device can be held down by the other foot. Walls 3 converge upwardly so that a number of devices may be nested. At least the converging surfaces are coated with a thin film of synthetic plastics, e.g. nylon, to prevent scratching.
