Abstract
1,001,686. Selective signalling. SOC. NATIONALE DES PETROLS D'AQUITAINE. June 12, 1963 [June 13, 1962], No. 23496/63. Drawings to Specification. Heading G4H. In a system for remotely determining and logging the rate of flow of a fluid various parameters such as density, temperature, pressure &c. are measured locally and telemetered, by any suitable means, to a remote recording centre at which every group of five values of the same parameter are averaged and the results, together with the time of day, are recorded on punched or magnetic tape. At the end of each day the tape is read into a computer which produces an accurate log of the rate of flow of the fluid. Formulµ are given for computing the rate of flow from the measured parameters but no detailed circuitry is described.
