Abstract
1,001,123. Necktie retainers. E. FELLER. Dec. 12, 1962 [May 24, 1962], No. 47622/62. Heading A3H. A holder for ready to wear ties comprises a spring urged clamp mounted on a support and movable longitudinally thereon for adaptation to the thickness of the collar closure. The collar closure is clamped between the clamp 5 and a tie holder crescent 1 secured to a plate 2 and mounting plate 3. The clamp 5 is slidable in a bearing 4 on the plate 3 constrained by a leaf spring 3a on the mounting plate 3 engaging the forked end of the clamp. The spring may comprise a bent spring wire loop, the upper end of which engages in a slot in the clamp, or the spring may comprise a three armed member, the central arm of which extends through a slot in the clamp 5. The outer arm of the spring then abuts the end of the clamp and the inner end supports the spring pivotally on the mounting plate.
