Abstract

A space or area is covered by mutually coupled geometrical bodies each having two opposite inclined faces by which it is supported by adjacent bodies and two other inclined faces providing support for adjacent bodies. The bodies may be truncated tetrahedrons as shown in Fig. 2, the upper and lower faces being removed to provide upper and lower rectangular faces 27, 28. Four such assembled bodies are shown in plan in Fig. 3. A domed covering can be provided by means of adjacent tetrahedrons having slightly different angles.
