Abstract
A small wind turbine interconnection unit has a voltage detection circuit, an inductor, a variable on-off switching ratio, and a 'dump' resistor or equivalent. The unit mitigates the mismatch between turbine output characteristics and inverter (or battery system) input requirements. The unit has a low standby power consumption.
