Abstract

A leg exercise method is described for a passenger performing the exercise while seated in restricted space such as on board a passenger transportation. An elastic sling 12 is provided to carry out the exercise. The method comprises a passenger engaging the elastic sling under one foot, holding the other end by the yoke (22 fig 2) provided, and carrying out a repetitive routine of raising one leg towards the chest and lowering it again: the elastic sling providing resistance against the movement. Preferably the stretch length of the sling is short enough to prevent the foot from touching the floor.
