Abstract

L’invention concerne un étrier de sécurité (1) comportant un corps (2) pourvu d’un support d’appui (3) pour un pied d’un cavalier, le corps étant en outre pourvu d’un cadre (4) en forme d’arche, l’étrier comportant un dispositif de retenue du pied (5 ; 31), ce dispositif de retenue étant monté pivotant sur le cadre entre une position fermée dans laquelle le dispositif de retenue (5) est enclenché de sorte que ce dispositif de retenue soit solidarisé au cadre et une position ouverte dans laquelle le dispositif de retenue est déclenché de manière à être pivotable par rapport au cadre, autour d’un axe de pivotement (X), suivant un mouvement de pivotement limité à un seul côté du cadre, ce côté de pivotement (6) étant le côté d’engagement du pied par lequel le pied du cavalier s’engage dans l’étrier (1), étrier dans lequel le dispositif de retenue (5) est agencé pour se déclencher en cas de basculement du pied du cavalier.
