Batterie électrique (10) pour aéronef, cette batterie (10) comportant : - un boîtier (12) comportant un logement interne (14) et un évent (18) d’évacuation de gaz, et - des cellules (16) de batterie électrique situées dans le logement (14) du boîtier (12), caractérisée en ce qu’elle comprend en outre, au niveau dudit évent (18), un système (20) sensible à la chaleur (38) susceptible d’être générée par les cellules (16) dans le logement (14) en cas de dysfonctionnement de ces cellules, ce système (20) comportant un circuit électrique (22) comportant des bornes (24) d’alimentation électrique qui sont reliées à au moins un interrupteur thermosensible (26), cet interrupteur (26) étant configuré pour être fermé lorsqu’il est soumis à une température inférieure à une valeur seuil prédéterminée, et pour être ouvert lorsqu’il est soumis à une température supérieure ou égale à cette valeur seuil.
