Ce procédé est mis en œuvre par un dispositif de caractérisation d’un système optique (2) comprenant un banc optique (3) aligné comprenant une source lumineuse (4), une mire trou source (5) et un capteur (6), le dispositif comprenant en outre un système d’acquisition de flux vidéo (16) et un moyen (17) de mise en œuvre du procédé comprenant une étape de calcul de la fonction d’étalement du point du système optique, le système optique (2) étant destiné à être placé devant le capteur (6).
