TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The technical field of the invention is that of infant bathtubs.

The present invention relates to a retractable wall-mounted bathtub for infants or animals.

TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

State-of-the-art bathtubs can be placed on the floor in a shower and allow an infant or animal to be washed in a kneeling position at the foot of the shower, this position is particularly uncomfortable and causes pain in the knees.

The bathtubs of the state of the art can also be placed on a board above a bathtub for an adult and make it possible to wash an infant or animal in a standing or sitting position on the edge of the bathtub, but this position requires to bend over the bathtub and causes back pain.

In addition, the infant's bathtub clutters the bathroom.

Today, in new homes, more and more showers are being installed and fewer and fewer bathtubs, forcing parents to wash their infants on their knees. Thus, no bathtub of the state of the art makes it possible to wash an infant or an animal in a comfortable manner, in particular in the showers.

The invention offers a solution to the problems mentioned above, by making it possible to bathe an infant comfortably either seated or standing. The invention allows in particular people in wheelchairs to wash an infant or an animal. More generally, the invention allows access to a bathtub for infants in a comfortable manner allowing all the applications which result therefrom (washing of linen, etc.).

The invention makes it possible to bathe an infant in a sitting or standing position in a comfortable manner. The invention has two positions, is retractable and does not take up space when it is not in use.

Advantageously, the box and the frame are made of plastic. This material is water resistant and does not damage the box and the frame in contact with water.

Advantageously, the bathtub is foldable. Thus the bathtub saves space when it is not in use.

Advantageously, the tub has a drain plug. Thus the bathtub can be emptied easily by removing the drain plug. The bathtub therefore does not need to be moved from the frame to be emptied.

Advantageously, the tub has a drain pipe connected to the drain plug. This makes it easier to direct the water from the tub to a shower siphon.

Advantageously, the bathtub is made of silicone. This material allows the bathtub to be both waterproof, foldable and comfortable to the touch.

Advantageously, the frame has at least one foot linked by a second pivot link. The foot supports the frame of the bath during use and thus provides additional support for the frame.

Advantageously, the foot has an adjustable height. Thus the frame of the bathtub is standard and can be positioned at variable heights depending on the size of the user and the sitting or standing position that the user wishes.

Advantageously, the cabinet has at least one door closing the cabinet when the frame is in the second position. In the stowed position, the box is closed.

Advantageously, the cabinet has a rolling shutter closing the cabinet when the frame is in the second position.

Advantageously, the frame comprises recesses located between the two longitudinal edges of the frame. These recesses allow the grip of the bathtub if you want to remove it to empty it or clean it for example.

In a variant embodiment, the box comprises a removable bottom closing the box when the frame is in the second position. This removable bottom can be placed on the frame when it is in the first position allowing the user to have a work surface to wipe, change or dress the infant.

There shows a schematic representation of the box 1 for infant bath 13 comprising a cabinet 11. The cabinet 11 comprises two doors 111 linked to the cabinet 11 by hinges. As illustrated in and at the , the means of closing the box 11 can also be a rolling shutter 116 or a removable bottom 117. The cabinet 11 includes a high attachment 112 allowing the cabinet 11 to be fixed to a vertical support, for example a wall. The upper fixing 112 has a plurality of holes 114 allowing the box 11 to be fixed using fixing means, for example screws.

Box 11, illustrated in , is linked to a frame 12 by a first pivot link 20 of axis A. The frame 12 is free to rotate about the axis A of the first pivot link 20. The frame 12 having a first position such that the frame 12 is positioned at 90° with respect to the cabinet 11 as illustrated in and at the and a second position such that the frame 12 is stored in the box 11 as illustrated in and at the . There represents an intermediate position of the frame 12 at the first and the second position.

The frame 12 is locked in rotation in the first position by means of a stop 113 belonging to the box 11. The stop 113 can also make it possible to fix the box 11 to a wall in a complementary manner to the top fixing 112. The stop 113 may have a plurality of perforations 115 allowing the box 11 to be fixed.

Frame 12, shown in , has two opposite edges 121a and 121b located at the longitudinal ends thereof. The first edge 121a is located at a first end of the frame 12 closest to the box 11 when the frame 12 is in the first position. The second edge 121b is located at a second end of the frame 12 furthest from the box 11 when the frame 12 is in the first position.

The frame 12 has an opening 122 in the middle allowing an infant bath 13 to be positioned on the edges 121a and 121b. The tub 13 includes a rim 131 located on the perimeter thereof. The rim 131 is at least partially complementary to the opening 122 and to the two edges 121a and 121b of the frame 12. The rim 131 is positioned on the two edges 121a and 121b.

The tub 13 is foldable, so it has an adjustable depth. For example, bathtub 13 has four built-in compartments allowing four possible depths. The bathtub 13 is for example made of silicone. The tub 13 may have a drain plug 132 allowing the tub 13 to be emptied without having to remove it from the frame 12 when the latter is in the first position. The bathtub 13 may have a drain pipe connected to the drain plug 132 allowing the water to be evacuated from the bathtub 13 in a suitable manner.

The frame 12 has two opposite side recesses 123a and 123b located between the two edges 121a and 121b of the frame 12. These recesses allow the user to manipulate the bathtub 13 and thus to position it on the frame 12. The recesses 123a and 123b allow the user to remove the tub 113 from the frame 12 via the flange 131, these recesses leave space for the hands of the user.

The frame 12 has a foot 14 linked by a second pivot link. The second pivot connection is located in one of the two corners of the frame 12 furthest from the box 11. The foot 14 is telescopic and therefore has an adjustable height. The foot 14 is positioned at 90° relative to the frame 12, i.e. vertically, and supports the weight of the frame 12 and of the bathtub with the water and the infant, when the latter is in the first position. The foot 14 is stored in the cabinet 11 when the frame 12 is in the second position.

There represents the box 1 when the frame 12 is in the second position with the doors 111 open. The tub 13 can be taken out of the frame 12 or be folded if it is foldable to be stored in the cabinet 11. The tub 13 is here folded such that it has a minimum depth to be stored in the cabinet 11.

There represents the box 1 fixed to a wall 2 of a shower space. Thus the bathtub 13 can be filled with water by a shower head 3. The evacuation of the water from the bathtub 13 can be done via the drain plug 132 of the bathtub 13 which will then be evacuated by the siphon of the shower area. Thus the user will be able to fill and empty the bathtub 13 without taking it out of the frame 12.

In an alternative embodiment, the case 1 comprises a removable bottom 117. The removable bottom 117 is linked to the frame 12 for example by means of a sliding connection. The removable bottom 117 closes the box 11 when the frame 12 is in the second position. The removable bottom 117 can be removed from the frame 12 when the latter is in the first position and be positioned on the frame 12 so as to create a work surface. The removable bottom 117 must be removed to allow the tub 13 to be positioned on the frame 12.

Box (1) for bathtub comprising:

• a cabinet (11);
• a frame (12) linked to the box (11) by a first pivot link (20), the frame (12) having a first position such that the frame (12) is positioned at 90° relative to the box (11) and a second position such that the frame (12) is stored in the box (11);

characterized in that the box (1) comprises a bathtub (13) for an infant, the frame (12) has an opening (122) in its middle comprising two opposite edges (121a, 121b) located at the ends of the frame (12), and that the bathtub (13) comprises a rim (131) bearing against the two edges (121a, 121b) of the frame (12). Box (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the box (11) and the frame (12) are made of plastic. Box (1) according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the bathtub (13) is foldable. Box (1) according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the tub (13) has a drain plug (132). Case (1) according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the tub (13) is made of silicone. Box (1) according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the frame (12) has at least one foot (14) linked by a second pivot link. Box (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the foot (14) has an adjustable height. Box (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the box (11) has at least one door (111) closing the box (11) when the frame (12) is in the second position. Box (1) according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the box (11) has a rolling shutter (116) closing the box (11) when the frame (12) is in the second position.
