Abstract

L’invention présente un procédé de détermination d’une position et/ou d’une orientation d’une caméra par rapport au châssis d’un véhicule sur lequel la caméra est montée. Le procédé détermine ces informations à partir d’un modèle en trois dimensions du véhicule et de traitement d’images capturées par la caméra permettant d’identifier une partie du capot du véhicule. Par ailleurs, l’invention permet également de déterminer un angle d’attitude du véhicule en comparant la position et/ou l’orientation de la caméra relativement au châssis par rapport à ces mêmes informations relativement à la direction de déplacement du véhicule.The invention presents a method for determining a position and/or an orientation of a camera relative to the chassis of a vehicle on which the camera is mounted. The method determines this information from a three-dimensional model of the vehicle and processing images captured by the camera to identify a part of the vehicle bonnet. Furthermore, the invention also makes it possible to determine an angle of attitude of the vehicle by comparing the position and/or the orientation of the camera relative to the chassis with respect to this same information relative to the direction of movement of the vehicle.
