Abstract

Dispositif (1) de protection de la surface du pied d’un équidé en contact avec le sol et pouvant être fixé au pied de l’équidé selon l’intensité de l’utilisation, soit avec des clous (19), soit avec des lanières (7), courroies (7) ou tout autre système de maintien flexibles ou non. Ce fer à cheval hybride (1) comporte une rainure (2) allant transversalement d’une branche à l’autre, du côté du fer à cheval en contact avec le sol, à la limite entre la zone dite « quartier » et de la zone dite « éponge »d du fer à cheval. Le choix du mode de fixation est possible grâce à des pinçons amovibles (3,16,17) de formes adaptées : respectivement lisse et plat le long de la paroi du pied pour les fixation avec des clous, et pourvus de crochets (8) ou appendices (9) pour la fixation avec lanières (7), courroies (7) ou tout autre système de maintien flexible ou non. Depuis le début du 20ème siècle, différents brevets proposent des solutions de fixation d’un fer à cheval sans clou ni colle sur le sabot des équidés. Ces brevets proposent d’une part des cales sous le fer à cheval permettant le passage de lanières ou courroies ce qui ne constitue pas un dispositif adapté à la biomécanique du mouvement des équidés, ou d’autre part des armatures venant se fixer sur les bordures du fer à cheval. Ces propositions ont abouti aux concepts d’hipposandales, s’éloignant radicalement du fer à cheval.

Claims

Hybrid horseshoe (1) which can be fixed using straps (7) or straps (7) or nails (19), characterized in that it comprises:
