L’invention porte sur une machine électrique tournante comprenant : - un stator (2) comprenant un corps de rotor (9) et un bobinage (8), le bobinage (8) passant dans des encoches (21) du corps de rotor (9), les encoches ayant un isthme, - un rotor (3) comprenant un corps de rotor (24) avec des cavités (33, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39) et des aimants permanents (14, 15, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32), disposés dans les cavités, formant des pôles magnétiques (25, 26) ayant un axe central (d), un axe en quadrature (q) étant équidistant de deux axes centraux successifs (d), le ratio (C1) entre la largeur de isthme et la largeur de l’encoche (21) étant supérieur ou égal à 0,40 et inférieur ou égal à 0,7, le ratio (C2) entre un entrefer au niveau de l’axe central et un entrefer au niveau de l’axe en quadrature étant supérieur ou égal à 0,8 et inférieur ou égal à 1,5.
