Abstract

L’invention concerne un dispositif de protection (10) d’un instrument optique (11) d’un satellite (100), l’instrument optique (11) étant destiné à pointer selon un axe de pointage (12), ledit dispositif de protection (10) étant caractérisé en ce qu’il comprend : un support (13), l’instrument optique (11) étant disposé sur le support (13) et orienté selon un premier axe (14), un écran solaire (15) comprenant des parois (16) et une ouverture (17), les parois (16) formant une cavité (18) ; en ce que l’instrument optique (11) est disposé dans la cavité (18) de l’écran solaire (15), et en ce que le support (13) est mobile en rotation autour d’un deuxième axe (24) distinct du premier axe (14), de sorte à faire passer l’instrument optique (11) d’une position de pointage dans laquelle le premier axe (14) est sensiblement confondu avec l’axe de pointage (12) à une position de protection dans laquelle le premier axe (14) et l’axe de pointage (12) sont distincts, et/ou de la position de protection à la position de pointage.
