Abstract

L’invention concerne un radar Doppler à balayage électronique ambigu, utilisant une antenne active comportant un réseau d’antennes élémentaires d’émission et un réseau d’antennes élémentaires de réception de même ouverture angulaire (44), lesdits réseaux d’émission et de réception ayant le même plan de rayonnement, caractérisé en ce que : ledit réseau d’émission est ambigu avec un nombre un nombre NambTX de lobes ambigus (42) dans ladite ouverture angulaire desdites antennes élémentaires, NambTX étant supérieur ou égal à 2 ;ledit réseau de réception comporte au moins un lobe ambigu (43) dans ladite ouverture angulaire, lesdits réseaux d’émission et de réception étant agencés pour que le produit des diagrammes d’émission et de réception ne produise qu’un seul faisceau principal dans le domaine défini par ladite ouverture angulaire ; la couverture dudit domaine angulaire donné par ledit radar étant obtenue :  en formant à l’émission des diagrammes d’antenne focalisés dans un domaine limité au domaine d’ambiguïté en émission ;en formant simultanément plusieurs diagrammes de réception focalisés en réception dans les directions ambiguës d’émission.
