Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé (S) d’assistance à l’atterrissage d’un aéronef (3) sur une piste comprenant les étapes suivantes : S1 : émettre depuis la piste un signal lumineux codé comprenant une information caractéristique de géolocalisation propre à la piste ; S2 : acquérir une pluralité d’images de l’instrument de guidage (4) de sorte à recevoir le signal lumineux codé ; S3 : décoder le signal lumineux codé pour déterminer l’information caractéristique de géolocalisation ; S4 : estimer une position instantanée de l’aéronef (3) ; S5 : déterminer, à partir des images acquises à l’étape S2 et de la position instantanée estimée de l’aéronef (3), une position relative de l’aéronef (3) par rapport aux repères géoréférencés (7) ; S6 : recaler la position relative en fonction de l’information caractéristique de géolocalisation pour obtenir une position absolue de l’aéronef (3).
