Another example of a suitable hair care cosmetic composition according to the present invention comprises:

- from 2.0% to 3.5% of trideceth-9 PG-amodimethicone;

- from 4.0% to 5.0% of disteareth-100 ipdi;

- from 35% to 50% of a monoalcohol including ethanol;

- from 20% to 25% of a mixture of glycerin and propylene glycol;

- from 3% to 5% of a mixture of cetrimonium chloride and behentrimonium chloride;

- from 10.0% to 15.5% of one or more fatty alcohols chosen from myristyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, and mixtures thereof, and a fatty acid chosen from myristic acid;

- and optionally, additional ingredients such as a pH adjuster, water (ranging from 5.0 to 20%), and / or a suitable fragrance.

A further example of a suitable hair care cosmetic composition according to the present invention comprises:

- from 3.0% to 5.0% of PEG-7 amodimethicone;

- from 2.5% to 4.5% of bis-decyltetradeceth-20 copolymer ether of PEG-240 / hdi;

- from 35% to 50% of a monoalcohol including ethanol;

- from 10% to 15% of a mixture of glycerin and butylene glycol;

- from 3% to 5% of a mixture of cetrimonium chloride and behentrimonium chloride;

- from 10.0% to 15.0% of one or more fatty alcohols chosen from myristyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, and mixtures thereof, and of a fatty acid chosen from myristic acid;

- from 0.5% to 2.0% of a C ₁₂ to C ₁₃ di-alkyl malate and from 5.0 to 15.0 of caprylic / capric triglyceride,

- and optionally, additional ingredients such as pH adjuster, water (ranging from 5.0 to 20%), and / or suitable perfume.

An additional example of a suitable hair care composition according to the present invention comprises:

- from 1% to 5% of alkoxy-functional amino silicones chosen from PEG-7 amodimethicone, trideceth-9 PG-amodimethicone, and one of their mixtures;

- from 3.0% to 5.0% of isocyanate-functional polymers chosen from copolymer of steareth-100 / PEG-136 / HDI, disteareth-100 ipdi, bis-decyltetradeceth-20 ether of copolymer of peg-240 / hdi and their mixtures;

- from 35% to 50% of a monoalcohol including ethanol;

- From 10% to 15% of polyol chosen from glycerin, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, and mixtures thereof;

- from 3% to 5% of a mixture of cetrimonium chloride and behentrimonium chloride;

- from 10.0% to 18% of one or more fatty alcohols chosen from myristyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, and mixtures thereof, and of a fatty acid chosen from myristic acid;

- from 0.5% to 2.0% of C ₁₂ to C ₁₃ di-alkyl malate and from 5.0% to 15.0% of caprylic / capric triglyceride.

The compositions proposed above are anhydrous or substantially anhydrous, liquid and transparent, with a viscosity ranging from 1 mPa.s to 40 mPa.s at 25 ° C, and a pH ranging from 3 to 5, until 'they are combined with external water, whereupon the composition forms an opaque or turbid emulsion instantly, the opaque or turbid emulsion having a viscosity which is the same or greater than that of the composition before combining with the water exterior,

in which all the percentages are based on the total weight of the cosmetic hair care composition.

Hair care cosmetic composition manufacturing process

The process for manufacturing the cosmetic hair care composition according to the present invention comprises the following steps:

A) addition of all raw materials and polyols (20 to 50%, based on the total weight of the composition), with the exception of alcohols;

B) heating to above 50 ° C such as about 55 ° C to about 70 ° C or about 55 ° C to about 65 ° C or about 50 ° C, 55 ° C, 60 ° C, or 65 ° C and homogenizing for a time such as about 5 to 20 min or about 5 min to about 15 min or about 5 min to about 10 min or about 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, or 20 min;

C) cooling and adding the remaining polyols;

D) optionally, adding perfume at a temperature of about 45 ° C; and

E) addition of monoalcohols at a temperature of about 30 ° C.

Example 5

A cosmetic hair care composition of the state of the art according to Example 1 and according to Inventive Examples 2 and 3 was applied to locks of human hair. According to the protocol, strands of human hair were left naturally at ambient conditions for 12 h. After such a period, the locks of hair were combed twice for evaluation of smoothness.

The locks of hair in which the inventive cosmetic hair care compositions 2 and 3 were applied demonstrated better frizz and volume control, and better smoothness on wet and dry hair, as shown in Figure 1.

Example 6

Viscosity test

A comparative test was carried out between the cosmetic hair care composition of the state of the art (composition D) and two cosmetic hair care compositions within the scope of the present invention (compositions E and F).

The results demonstrated that after addition of exterior water to the cosmetic hair care composition, compositions E and F had higher viscosities.

Claims (10)

Cosmetic hair care composition comprising:
a) from 0.1% to 10% of one or more alkoxy-functional amino silicones;
b) from 0.1% to 10% of one or more polymers chosen from isocyanate-functional polymers copolymer of steareth-100 / PEG-136 / HDI, disteareth-100 ipdi, disteareth-75 ipdi, bis-decyltetradeceth-20 peg-240 / hdi copolymer ether, and mixtures thereof;
c) a mixture of two or more solvents, in which the first solvent contains a monoalcohol and the second solvent contains a polyol, in which the first solvent is from 5% to 50% and the second solvent is from 10% to 90%, respectively, of a mixture of two solvents;
wherein the ratio of the first solvent to the second solvent is from 0.5: 1 to 10: 1, respectively;
d) from 0.5% to 10% of two or more cationic surfactants which contain positively charged ammonium compounds or form the positively charged ammonium compounds at pH <7;
e) from 4% to 18% of one or more fatty alcohols or one or more fatty acids;
wherein the composition is an anhydrous or substantially anhydrous liquid and is transparent, with a viscosity ranging from 1 mPa.s to 40 mPa.s at 25 ° C, and a pH ranging from 3 to 5, until it is combined with exterior water, whereupon the composition forms an opaque or turbid emulsion instantly, the opaque or turbid emulsion having a viscosity which is the same or greater than that of the composition before combination with the exterior water ,
wherein all the percentages are based on the total weight of the cosmetic hair care composition. A cosmetic hair care composition according to claim 1, wherein the one or more alkoxy-functional amino silicones are selected from PEG-7 amodimethicone or trideceth-9 PG amodimethicone, and a mixture thereof. A cosmetic hair care composition according to claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the first solvent containing a monoalcohol is selected from monoalcohols having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, such as ethanol, propanol, butanol, pentanol, hexanol, alcohol isopropyl, cyclohexanol, isobutyl alcohol, 2-methyl-2-butanol (2-methylbutan-2-ol), and a mixture thereof. Cosmetic hair care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the second solvent contains a polyol selected from polyols having 3 to 6 carbon atoms and two or more hydroxyl groups, such as propylene glycol, butylene glycol , pentylene glycol, hexylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, propanediol, 1,4-butanediol, 1,5-pentanediol, hexane-1,6-diol, and glycerin, and a mixture thereof. A cosmetic hair care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the composition comprises two cationic surfactants, wherein the first cationic surfactant is C ₁₆ to C 24 ammonium salts, and a second is a salt of _{C 16 to C 24.} C ₁₄ to C ₁₈ ammonium, and the ratio of the first surfactant to the second surfactant is from 1: 0.5 to 1: 2, respectively. Cosmetic hair care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the fatty alcohol of one or more fatty alcohols or one or more fatty acids is chosen from decyl alcohol, undecyl alcohol, dodecyl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol , cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, isostearyl alcohol, isocetyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, linalool, oleyl alcohol, cis4-t-butylcyclohexanol, isotridecyl alcohol, myricyl alcohol and a mixture thereof, and
the fatty acid of one or more fatty alcohols or one or more fatty acids is selected from myristic acid, lauric acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, behenic acid, arichidonic acid, oleic acid, isostearic acid, sebacic acid, and one of their mixture. Cosmetic hair care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, further comprising at least one of:
- from 0.5% to 5% of one or more alkyl esters;
- from 0.5% to 5% of one or more polyalkoxylated polydimethylsiloxane with a viscosity ranging from 5 to 1,000,000 centistokes;
- from 0.1% to 15% of one or more fatty compounds;
- a pH adjuster (s); and or
- perfume. A cosmetic hair care composition according to claim 1, wherein:
- One or more alkoxy-functional amino silicones are present in a content ranging from 1% to 5% and are chosen from PEG-7 amodimethicone, trideceth-9 PG-amodimethicone, and one of their mixture;
- one or more polymers are present in a content ranging from 3.0% to 5.0% and are chosen from copolymer of steareth-100 / PEG-136 / HDI, disteareth-100 ipdi, bis-decyltetradeceth-20 ether peg-240 / hdi copolymer and mixtures thereof;
the mixture of two or more solvents comprises from 35% to 50% of a monoalcohol including ethanol and from 10% to 15% of polyol chosen from glycerin, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, and mixtures thereof;
the at least two cationic surfactants are present in a content ranging from 3% to 5% and comprise a mixture of cetrimonium chloride and of behentrimonium chloride;
- the fatty alcohol (s) and the fatty acid (s) are present in a content ranging from 10.0% to 18%, the fatty alcohol (s) being chosen from myristyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, and their mixtures, and fatty acid being myristic acid; and
- from 0.5% to 2.0% of C ₁₂ to C ₁₃ di-alkyl malate and from 5.0% to 15.0% of caprylic / capric triglyceride,

A hair care composition according to any preceding claim, wherein the resulting opaque or turbid emulsion has a lamellar phase structure. A method of treating and / or shaping and / or caring for the hair, comprising the step of applying to wet or damp hair and instantly forming an emulsion of a cosmetic hair care composition, comprising:
a) from 0.1% to 10% of one or more alkoxy-functional amino silicones;
b) from 0.1% to 10% of one or more polymers chosen from isocyanate-functional polymers disteareth-100 ipdi, disteareth-75 ipdi, bis-decyltetradeceth-20 ether of peg-240 / hdi copolymer, and their mixtures;
c) a mixture of two or more solvents, in which the first solvent contains a monoalcohol and the second solvent contains a polyol, in which the first solvent is from 5% to 50% and the second solvent is from 10% to 90%, respectively, of a mixture of two solvents;
wherein the ratio of the first solvent to the second solvent is from 0.5: 1 to 10: 1, respectively;
d) from 0.5% to 10% of two or more cationic surfactants;
e) from 4% to 18% of one or more fatty alcohols or one or more fatty acids;
wherein all the percentages are based on the total weight of the cosmetic hair care composition.
