Abstract
L’invention concerne un radiateur électrique comportant une façade avant (10) fixée sur un châssis arrière (11), ladite façade et ledit châssis délimitant un logement interne dans lequel est installé un élément électrique chauffant (12), ledit radiateur comportant :- un détecteur de mouvement (2) comprenant un capteur passif infrarouge associé à une lentille de Fresnel,- une unité de gestion commandant l’alimentation électrique de l’élément chauffant (12) en fonction de la détection de mouvement par le détecteur (2),se caractérisant par le fait qu’un cache (4) rigide est installé devant la lentille de Fresnel, le détecteur de mouvement (2) et ledit cache étant agencés de manière à ce que, en usage, les radiations infrarouges émises par un animal domestique situé à moins de 60 cm du sol et situé à une distance comprise entre 2,5 m et 3,5 m du capteur, soient occultées et/ou atténuées.
