Abstract
La présente invention concerne des dispositifs de commutation électrique ayant des mécanismes de libération de pression pour permettre la libération de la pression interne au boîtier du dispositif de commutation. La pression à l'intérieur du boîtier peut être générée par différents événements, l'un de ces événements étant la formation d'un arc à l'intérieur du boîtier, provoquée pendant le fonctionnement de composants internes du boîtier. Dans certains cas, la formation d'un arc peut être provoquée pendant la séparation des contacts du dispositif de commutation. Le mécanisme de libération de pression permet à la pression élevée de sortir du boîtier d'une manière plus contrôlée pour minimiser ou empêcher une brèche ou une rupture par haute pression du boîtier du dispositif de commutation. Les mécanismes de libération de pression s'appliquent en particulier à des dispositifs de commutation ayant des boîtiers hermétiquement scellés. De nombreux mécanismes de libération de pression différents peuvent être utilisés, incluant des disques de rupture et des points faibles intentionnellement formés dans le boîtier du dispositif de commutation.
