Système comprenant : un dispositif de traitement d’air (2) ; un capteur de qualité d’air (4) configuré pour mesurer une concentration en CO2 dans une zone (Z) contenant le dispositif de traitement d’air (2), et/ou un détecteur de terminaux configuré pour obtenir des données indiquant si un terminal mobile (T) de l’individu est ou non dans la zone (Z) ; un dispositif d’estimation de présence (6) configuré pour estimer si l’individu est présent ou non dans la zone, sur la base de la concentration en CO2 mesurée et/ou des données obtenues par le détecteur de terminaux ; un dispositif de contrôle (8) configuré pour activer le dispositif de traitement d’air (2) lorsqu’il est estimé que l’individu est absent de la zone (Z), et désactiver le dispositif de traitement d’air (2) lorsqu’il est estimé que l’individu est présent dans la zone (Z).
