Abstract
Product purchase automation process in a physical merchant site equipped with: optical monitoring means capable of detecting any potential customer entering the site, space for presenting products or services offered for sale and to which the customer has free access, to means of locating the products or services that the said customer selects on the presentation spaces, to a set of means located near the exit of the said site comprising a man-machine interface and capable of locating and the visualization of customers wishing to leave the said site, the validation by them of the list of their purchases as well as the payment of the said purchases, and a digital information processing system controlling all of the said means of the site, characterized in that: each customer entering said site is detected anonymously by the optical surveillance system by processing some of his bodily characteristics so as to be able to be followed in all his movements inside of the site, that the said detection only provides the said processing system in real time with the location and route of each customer throughout his journey within the said merchant site, that the extraction of any product from of its presentation space by a client is identified thanks to the combination of the aforementioned optical surveillance system combined with other technical means such as, and without this being exhaustive, three-dimensional depth cameras or pressure sensors installed on all or part of the shelves on which the said products are presented, that each product identified as extracted by a customer is temporarily associated with a customer previously detected anonymously and followed in his journey within the said merchant site, that at the end of his journey in the said merchant site, each customer is presented on a device placed near his exit and having a man-machine interface with the list and the respective prices of each of the products that he has extracted from the shelves, and that this presentation then allows the customer to electronically validate the list of products he has selected for purchase and to pay for them by any available payment method, including electronically.
