Abstract

Field of invention

The present invention relates to a funerary memorial, for example a stele, a funerary sculpture or a commemorative plaque.

These memorials are generally made by sculpture or engraving of a noble material, such as marble, copper or granite. These traditional memorials are sometimes enriched by display screens allowing the texts or images displayed to evolve.

State of the art

Known in the state of the art is European patent EP2090722 describing a known example of a sepulchral commemorative plaque with at least one fixing device for installation on a grave curb and/or for fixing on a tombstone, with a digital display unit on which images of a deceased are displayed.

Also known is US patent application US20010036354 describing a multimedia memorial for commemorating a deceased person at a grave site, comprising a multimedia playback device for playing multimedia recordings relating to a deceased person; and means for placing said multimedia player device on the grave of the deceased.

Another example of prior art electronic memorial is described in US patent US6414663. This memorial comprises a single environmentally sealed unit designed to be impervious to moisture and environmental exposure. The electronic circuit includes a programmable memory for storing data relating to a selected individual, a control unit for receiving and processing the data from the programmable memory, an electronic display configured to receive and visually display the processed data, a power source for power the programmable memory, the control unit and the display; and a memorial corresponding to the selected person and configured to contain the unique environmentally sealed unit, such that the unique environmentally sealed unit is mounted in a recess of the memorial such that the electronic display is visible at the memorial.

Patent US7089495B2 relates to a grave for communicating audio and visual data associated with the deceased person. The tomb screen is at least a screen and a storage medium.

Disadvantages of the Prior Art

The solutions of the prior art have the disadvantage of being vulnerable with respect to the aggressions to which they are subjected when they are installed outdoors, in environments subject to rain, bad weather, snow.

Another disadvantage concerns the power supply, in sites that generally do not allow connection to an electrical network, when it is necessary to ensure continuous operation, for a very long time.

Solution provided by the invention

In order to remedy these drawbacks, the invention relates, in its most general sense, to a funeral memorial comprising a display screen controlled by an electronic circuit comprising a memory for recording at least one digital file of an image at display characterized in that it comprises a presence detector controlling the passage of said electronic circuit from a standby mode to an active mode, when a presence is detected, said electronic circuit further comprising a timer maintaining the active state for a predetermined period after the end of a presence detection.

Advantageously, said presence detector consists of an ultrasonic transducer associated with an ultrasonic sensor.

Preferably, said screen is covered with a heating film.

According to a preferred embodiment, said memorial comprises anti-theft means consisting of an anchor to the ground or to the tomb connected to a breakable zone of the electronic circuit.

According to another variant, the memorial includes a graphic identifier of an access code to a digital address, for access by equipment connected to the digital content recorded on a server at said digital address when said identifier is read by said connected equipment.

Overview of the memorial

The memorial is made in a known manner of a sole (1), for example in granite, and a stele (2), also in granite.

The stele (2) is provided with an LCD display screen (3) connected to an electronic circuit powered by a battery and by photovoltaic cells (4). The memorial also includes a presence sensor (5) detecting the presence of a person near the memorial and controlling the switching on of the display. The electronic circuit includes a timer causing the display to switch to the standby state after a time of absence of detection of a presence by the sensor (5).

Operation of the invention

The method relates to a modular LCD screen system integrated into a removable, modifiable and interchangeable display frame because it has style variants, in order to project the image of a deceased person in order to pay homage to him in images drawn from his life and of those he liked. The photosensitive motion detection cell (5) triggers the scrolling of images and texts chosen either by the loved one, or by the deceased during his lifetime, on the system screen, as soon as a person approaches within 3 meters from it.

FEED

The screen (3) and the associated electronic circuits are powered by three types of energy:

- mains socket, when the site is equipped with a connection to the electrical network

- long-lasting lithium battery system (with recharge service every 6 months)

- solar recharge, when the frame (3) is placed on a grave in the cemetery.

DEVICE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM

The device of sculptures or electronic mortuary frames is equipped with an anti-theft technical solution included (system allowing wiring with anchoring to the ground or to the grave). A hole is drilled in the main electronic frame (plastic and metal case including the screen), of which a metal and plastic strip is attached to the printed circuit. In the event of breakage (tearing out) of the anti-theft cable system, the printed circuit becomes non-functional.

It is also mentioned on the back of the system (engraved): “ I am useless if stolen . I only work if stolen " .

SCREEN

The LCD screen process, with a size that can vary from 3 inches x 4 inches for its smallest format (or approximately 10 x 7.5 cm or the size of an Iphone6 plus screen) to a format of 5, 4x8 inches, Ipad mini 4 type (trade name), i.e. approximately: 135mm x 200mm, thickness 20 mm, and other larger ratios for higher or customized models on request (including the format for funeral homes, which can go up to 'to 50 inches), not limited to. The sizes according to the technical development of the screens and their data capacity ratio of 2 Gig minimum, versus electrical consumption, for a self-sufficient energy sculpture for a period of at least 6 months (second battery available as a relay on request, allowing display for 1 year).

SUPPORT (FRAMES AND SCULPTURE) RECESSED

FIG. 2 represents a variant embodiment.

The screen (3) consists of the screen of a computer tablet protected by a safety glass (8) and surrounded by a frame (6) made of any type of material (wood; brass; plaster; plastic or any type of metal alloys etc.), and supported by a block (7), for example of granite (mortuary plaque or stele) or in any form of sculpture serving as a support to pay homage to the deceased. The sculptures (support support where the screen is embedded) vary in shape and style according to the orientation and the confession of the deceased, according to the desired request in the range of standard frames offered by the depositary, or even on request for the specific customization needs (thematic sculpture on request). The photosensitive detection cell (5) is housed in the frame (6).

The upper face and the rear face of the block are covered with photovoltaic cells (4).

The system can also include a fountain (on the sculpture and the pedestal including a tank) available on request.

OPERATING MODE (STANDARD MODEL):

The process has 3 operating modes:

POSSIBLE OPTIONS:

The device is available in various sizes and removable formats (which can be placed horizontally or vertically). The smallest device (7.5 x 10 cm) can accompany the funeral urn to deliver some memories of the deceased in images, in the lockers of funeral homes. The larger device can also accompany in its larger format (135mm x 200mm, thickness 20mm) the grave in the cemetery or on the coffin, closed, open or semi-open, during the ceremony (compatible pedestal available). Finally, this can be presented, in its largest format, in the form of a luxurious sculpture of a tree of life, frame or other, in brass, completely autonomous and presented, on foot, to accompany and illustrate the ceremonies, by any funeral home.

According to a variant, the memorial includes a presence button (counter) of active visits associated with an indication such as “click here to leave a record of your visit”. The count is accessible at the bottom of the screen. The information can be transmitted to a server to be recorded in a content storage space associated with the memorial in question.

A QR code integrated into the screen, allowing you to scroll through the possible details of the life of the deceased on the visitor's Smartphone, with the possibility of modification by the customer subscribing to the system.

The names and date of birth are integrated on the image, and additions of all texts (prayer types, suras, poems, quotes, etc.) are possible, interspersed between the projected images via the use of our slideshow compilation software system. The slideshow can be easily created online on our web platform and mobile application by importing the selected images and the texts, whether it is produced by the relatives (or the deceased during his lifetime), in agreement with the custodian before being compiled and saved in Powerpoint slideshow format (trade name).

A variant of the device, for the higher models, is equipped with small speakers (limited in decibels to a radius of 5 m) broadcasting during the slide show, some tunes that the deceased appreciated.

Frames intended for outdoor exposure are under safety triplex glazing to preserve the battery, the image, humidity, rain, frost and shocks.

QR code

The system can be equipped with a QR code and a webcam for capturing photos of visitors. Thus the QR code allows a biographical display, tribute texts, quotes or other on any Smartphone of visitors with a QR code reader.

The system may include wifi access for posting photos of visitors, linked to an online forum intended to pay tribute to the deceased. Visitors' texts can thus be typed via the touch screen, and are recorded and posted on a blog-type website. This can thus be done during the exhibition of the body or other commemorative moments leaving this time for relatives to bear witness to the memory of the deceased.

Six (6) operating modes are offered (automatic, on, off, random, programmed by date and testimony for taking photos and editing tribute texts). The webcam is placed in the screen allowing the taking of photos of visitors and (allowing visitors to access on their Smartphone the same information as that broadcast on the screen).

TECHNICAL DETAILS OF THE STANDARD ELECTRONIC FUNERAL FRAME

The process of the basic device consists of an LCD screen intended to be exposed in vertical or horizontal format. The base screens come in two different sizes, adaptable for funeral display at the urns) in front of the urn or on the grave, and consists of a 7cm x 10cm (3 x 4 inch) LCD screen, powered by batteries, encased in a watertight plastic and metal box and covered with a safety glass (shock resistant) which can also be watertight and frost resistant (optional depending on the model).

The plastic box contains a printed circuit with a memory space and a processor for displaying images according to the various programmed modes and a photosensitive cell (motion detector). The whole is equipped with several inputs and components, depending on the sculpture options selected at the time of purchase from the dealer (such as, for example, a push button for attendance, a camera lens for web cam type photo capture, etc.).

The protective box has three buttons ( on, off, automatic ) and 2 plugs (an output for connection to a mains socket, to the lithium-ion battery or to the solar pack (depending on the options), and an output to carry out USB connection during initial programming or any modifications made by the dealer).

This plastic box where the LCD screen is embedded is of a format close to that of an Ipad mini 4 tablet (i.e. approximately: 135mm x 200mm, thickness 20 mm).

Behind the frame, there is a support allowing it to stand upright and which also includes (at the time of purchase) a lithium-ion battery pack or a solar battery pack (including the charging cell photosensitive is embedded on the back and the top of the support); as well as a plug (male) at its base and on one side, in the center (like the Iphones ) which fits into the frame, to supply it with energy while fixing it in place and in the center of the support, according to two outfit options (screen presented in vertical or horizontal format).

All plugs (electrical outlets) of the process are covered with a moisture-resistant polymer membrane serving as a weather protector to prevent any short circuit, and which can be put on or taken off at will, retained by a net laminated keeping it attached to the frame and frame support.

Finally, the plastic and metal box includes a cavity (negative space) allowing its anti-theft anchoring by cable connected to any socket on the ground or support on the tomb.

If the device is forced, and if the anchorage were to be broken, the system will be placed in inactive mode at the level of the printed circuit, which will therefore be non-operational and can therefore no longer be used by others. This will discourage the theft of devices from graves.

The process is the same for the other support sculptures (frames or sculptural forms) in which they simply fit and which are larger than the 2 initial standard box sizes.

In addition, these funerary sculptures of larger size and different shapes, present a variety of styles, are designed to remain on tombs or in any site or mausoleum, they also offer the advantage of having more space to store them. lithium or solar battery packs, making the works autonomous for months or even a year.

Hybrid Connectivity

According to a variant embodiment, the memorial comprises a local memory for recording local events such as action on the visit declaration button, or recording of an audio message by a visitor to the memorial, or even a image or video, or a written message entered from a touch screen.

This information is stored in the local memory only, the memorial only having short-range broadcasting means (Bluetooth, NFC, etc.) for this information.

The QrCode contains the access code to a server by a connected device, for example a smart phone. Reading this QrCode opens a session between the connected equipment of the visitor and the personal space of the server associated with the memorial in question. The opening of this assignment commands, directly or via an application previously installed on the connected equipment, the reading of the content of the memory of the memorial and the transmission of this content by said connected equipment for recording on the server, and thus make this information can be consulted by accessing the server.

The QrCode can also be replaced by marking an NFC short-distance communication zone. An NFC module integrated into the memory then ensures the opening of a communication session between a connected device and the space associated with the code transmitted by NFC, on the remote server.
