L’invention concerne un boîtier électrique pour luminaire de plafond comportant un élément de boîte (20) et un câble d’attache (60) pour la suspension du boîtier électrique à une structure de plafond. Selon l’invention, le fond de l’élément de boîte présente dans une zone décentrée deux ouvertures secondaires (212, 213) distinctes, de dimensions inférieures au demi-centimètre et permettant le passage dudit câble d’attache.
