L’invention concerne un procédé de contrôle d’un dispositif lumineux d’un véhicule automobile comprenant une unité de calcul et un module lumineux comportant une pluralité de sources lumineuses et un contrôleur , le procédé comportant les étapes suivantes : l’unité de calcul génère une image numérique destinée à contrôler le module lumineux pour l’émission d’un faisceau lumineux pixélisé, chaque pixel de l’image numérique présentant une valeur correspondant à une intensité lumineuse d’un pixel du faisceau lumineux pixélisé à émettre par le module lumineux, la correspondance entre les intensités lumineuses des pixels du faisceau lumineux à émettre et les valeurs des pixels de l’image numérique étant réalisée selon une fonction de correspondance non affine ; l’unité de calcul transmet l’image numérique générée au contrôleur; le contrôleur contrôle chacune des sources lumineuses au moyen de l’image numérique reçue pour l’émission du faisceau lumineux pixélisé.
