Abstract

L’invention se rapporte à un roulement (18) à double rangée de billes (27A, 27B) à contact oblique, comprenant un moyen de rétention axiale de secours. Ce moyen de rétention axiale de secours comprend des pistes de secours (34, 35) qui n’interagissent pas avec les rangées de billes (27A, 27B) lors du fonctionnement normal du roulement (18). En cas de rupture de l’une (27A) des ranges de billes résultant d’un effort axial appliqué sur le roulement (18), les bagues (19, 20) de ce roulement (18) se déplacent l’une par rapport à l’autre sous l’action dudit effort axial, jusqu’à une position de secours dans laquelle l’autre rangée de billes (27B) est en appui contre les pistes de secours (34, 35). L’invention trouve notamment des applications dans le domaine aéronautique, le roulement (18) pouvant être utilisé pour guider en rotation une soufflante d’un turboréacteur. Dans une telle application, la position de secours permet une rétention axiale de la soufflante jusqu’à l’arrêt du moteur. Figure pour l’abrégé : Fig. 3
