Machine de traction-compression à chaud L’invention concerne une machine de traction-compression à chaud d’une éprouvette longitudinale (30) comprenant : un dispositif de déformation (15) pour étirer et comprimer ladite éprouvette longitudinale (30) ; un organe de chauffage (38) pour fournir de l’énergie thermique à ladite éprouvette (30) ; un extensomètre (44) adapté à être porté en contact avec ladite éprouvette (30) pour mesurer l’amplitude d’allongement ; un organe de commande (60) commandant ledit dispositif de déformation (15) durant une période de temps donnée à basse fréquence et selon une amplitude fonction de l’amplitude mesurée par ledit extensomètre (44). La machine comprend en outre un actionneur (54) relié audit extensomètre (44), et ledit organe de commande (60), commande après que ladite période de temps a expiré, ledit actionneur (54) pour écarter ledit extensomètre (44) de ladite éprouvette (30), et ledit dispositif de déformation (15) durant une autre période de temps donnée à haute fréquence.
