Système de détection de présence d’une personne (1) occupant un siège arrière (2) d’un véhicule (3), comportant : - un dispositif de démarrage du véhicule (3), de type mains libres, destiné à être activé par un premier signal Bluetooth ; - des antennes de réception (4a, 4b, 4c), agencées autour des sièges arrière (2) pour recevoir le premier signal Bluetooth, et comprenant chacune un équipement (40) configuré pour transmettre la puissance mesurée du premier signal Bluetooth reçu par l’antenne de réception (4a, 4b, 4c) correspondante ; les équipements (40) étant configurés pour communiquer entre eux via un deuxième signal (S2) Bluetooth ; - une unité de traitement (5) de données, configurée pour : mesurer les bilans de liaison du deuxième signal (S2) Bluetooth entre les antennes de réception (4a, 4b, 4c), comparer les bilans de liaison mesurés à une situation de référence où les sièges arrière (2) sont libres.
