L'invention concerne une batterie (10) comprenant une enveloppe (14) dans laquelle sont présentes une pluralité de cellules (12) de batterie, caractérisée en ce que l'enveloppe comprend au moins une couche de rétention (20) en matériau composite qui comprend un renfort fibreux densifié par une matrice polymérique, le renfort fibreux comprenant des fibres d'aramide et/ou des fibres de polyéthylène.
