La présente invention a pour objet des dérivés polyhydroxytéléchéliques d'épichlorhydrine répondant à la formule (I) ou à la formule (I'): formule (I) dans laquelle A est le reste d'un polyol de formule A-(OH)m, dans laquelle m est un entier au moins égal à 3 (m ≥ 3), ledit polyol présentant une masse moléculaire comprise entre 92 et environ 500 g/mol, et n est un entier, pas forcément le même pour tous les m groupes, compris entre 1 et 50 (1 ≤ n ≤ 50) ; formule (I') dans laquelle A' est le reste d'un polyol de formule (I) ci-dessus, dont la masse moléculaire moyenne en nombre est inférieure à environ 5000 g/mol, o = m et p est un entier, pas forcément le même pour tous les o groupes, compris entre 1 et < 50 ((1 ≤ p ≤ 50) ; ainsi que les mélanges d'au moins deux tels dérivés de formule (I) avec des A différents, les mélanges d'au moins deux tels dérivés de formule (I') avec des A' différents et les mélanges d'au moins un dérivé de formule (I) et d'au moins un dérivé de formule (I').
