Il est constitué de deux tiges métalliques. 1 tige simple avec une extrémité en demi-sphère (vide) et l'autre avec une extrémité en demi-sphère pleine et une plaque perforée fixée sur l'autre extrémité. Des broches peuvent être fixées à la tige simple grâce aux cylindres, ce qui permettra de fixer plusieurs broches sur la diaphyse.
