Ce système de détermination (1) d'au moins une donnée correspondant à une mesure d'une caractéristique d'un médium par au moins un capteur passif (2) dépourvu d'alimentation électrique comprend : - un dispositif de génération (4) de signaux radiofréquence comprenant un oscillateur de référence et un circuit de boucle à verrouillage de phase, le dispositif de génération (4) étant configuré pour générer en sortie au moins un signal d'interrogation de mesure (SI1) et un signal d'interrogation de référence (SI2) de fréquence identique ; - le capteur passif (2) comprenant une voie de mesure (10) et une voie de référence (12), - un dispositif de conditionnement (6), - un contrôleur (8) configuré pour générer un signal de commande (SC) à destination du dispositif de génération (4).
