Un appareil (AP) comprend : - un premier cadre (CA1) fixe, - un second cadre (CA2) muni d'une paroi (PT) déplaçable par un doigt d'usager et monté mobile dans le premier cadre (CA1), - des premier (CD1) et deuxième (CD2) condensateurs solidarisés chacun aux premier (CA1) et second (CA2) cadres respectivement sur des premier et second côtés suivant des première et seconde directions différentes, - une source d'excitation (SE) appliquant un signal électrique périodique aux premier (CD1) et deuxième (CD2) condensateurs, - des moyens de mesure (MM) délivrant des premier et deuxième signaux de mesure représentatifs des première et deuxième capacités des premier (CD1) et deuxième (CD2) condensateurs, et - des moyens de traitement (MT) déterminant des premier et second déplacements du second cadre (CA2) suivant les première et seconde directions, en fonction du signal électrique périodique et des premier et deuxième signaux de mesure.An apparatus (AP) comprises: - a first fixed frame (CA1), - a second frame (CA2) provided with a wall (PT) movable by a user's finger and mounted to move in the first frame (CA1), - first (CD1) and second (CD2) capacitors each secured to the first (CA1) and second (CA2) frames respectively on first and second sides in different first and second directions, - an excitation source (SE) applying a periodic electrical signal to the first (CD1) and second (CD2) capacitors, - measuring means (MM) delivering first and second measuring signals representative of the first and second capacitors of the first (CD1) and second (CD2) capacitors, and - Processing means (MT) determining first and second displacements of the second frame (CA2) along the first and second directions, as a function of the periodic electrical signal and of the first and second measurement signals.
