The invention relates to a device for tightening the visual field at the contours of the reading range of the document by cutting off any external perception in a moving vehicle. It consists of a binocular frame opaque foci each with a window of restricted view of two blinkers allowing the user to read in a moving vehicle without nausea or headache. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for passengers located inside a moving vehicle.
Description
Le concept porte le nom de Free Read Car System (FRCS).The present invention relates to a complete binocular mount device and collapsible adapter that can be clipped onto a telescope, the aim of which is to avoid nausea caused by reading text or watching a video in a glazed vehicle. movement. The concept is called Free Read Car System (FRCS).
It is said that feeling bad when reading a book, watching a video or writing a note in a moving car is simply motion sickness, known as motion sickness or drowsiness. Just like seasickness, it seems that nausea or migraines come from a discrepancy between what the eyes see that have little or no perception of movement and the neurosensory sensors which, in turn, record any movement of the body in the three dimensions. So there would be a difference between what is perceived by the eyes and what is felt by the inner ear. As a result, the brain is disturbed by this contradictory information it receives and nausea appears very quickly depending on the subject. Fortunately, not everyone is prone to motion sickness. It seems that children are more affected than adults because their brains are still under construction. When reading in a moving car, the risk of feeling bad is even greater. It is said that when one concentrates on a page or a screen, the confusion of the senses is even more important. Assuming that this nausea also occurs in a car that is in stable motion and without swaying, we can therefore deduce that other factors may be involved. The perception of external scrolling associated with the reading of a fixed point can also send contradictory information to the brain and also contribute to the appearance of this nausea.
This hypothesis is based on an observation made on a person sensitive to this phenomenon moving under special conditions of movement, namely at night. Indeed, this person was able to read and write at night on a tablet without a problem aboard a glass vehicle in motion for a long time on an unlit and unurbanized road. We can therefore deduce that the perception of external parades play an important role in the appearance of this nausea and that they are probably the main cause. This observation is confirmed by the fact that this discomfort reappears in urbanized and especially lit areas. Based on this observation, it was necessary to find a way to cancel daytime the perception by the eye of the external parades in order to allow the brain to concentrate only on a reading in fixed point.
The nature of the invention is based on a binocular spectacle frame or adapter on a frame with corrective lenses, the focal points of which are partially opacified so as to leave only a small translucent zone which will be called "viewing window" visible. This viewing space, horizontal and with a height ranging from 4 to 6 mm from the bridge and over a length of 30 to 40 mm, makes it possible to considerably reduce the visual field of the reader by limiting it to only the contours of the reading range . The total elimination of the perception of the interior and especially exterior environment of the vehicle is obtained by blinders placed on either side of the frame. As for them, they completely close the lateral visual field. The disappearance of the perception of interior and exterior movements is thus obtained.
Several prototypes have been produced using protective glasses on the market. The view window is obtained using a savings (adhesive) placed horizontally on the glasses before a complete painting of the latter including the blinders. With the savings withdrawn, a translucent view window appears on each household.
The series production of the frame will be carried out by plastic injection in several parts in a mold, namely: the two branches, the two blinders and the two hearths each comprising a rectangular opening in which a slightly translucent insert could be clipped tinted for more comfort or even adapted to the user's ready view. In this case we will call it "Window insert". This insert can be made of glass or polycarbonate. The vision zone is thus obtained quite simply by these two reading windows, bare or provided with two translucent inserts, corrected or not.
The product will be available as a spectacle frame with multiple geometries and finishes. Its manufacture will be done in different materials (polymer, PVC, carbon fiber, aluminum, glass, polycarbonate). The concept is also available as a foldable adapter that can be clipped onto a telescope.
Le concept FRCS est donc décliné sous 5 modèles de baseThe FRCS concept is therefore available in 5 basic models
