Abstract

The carriage comprises a frame (5) with uprights (45-1 ... 45-4) supported by a set of steerable wheels (3). The frame (5) has four side faces (11,13,15,17) opposite in pairs, which delimit between them an internal volume (18). The carriage further comprises a worktop (21) adapted to receive dishware. The frame (5) further comprises sleepers (47-1 ... 47-3) assembled to the uprights (45-1 ... 45-4). These sleepers (47-1 ... 47-3) leave free at least one of the side faces (11,13,15,17) of the frame (5) to form an opening on the internal volume (18). The carriage finally comprises at least one junction of a first type (23) through which the work plane (21) is mounted on at least one of the lateral faces (11, 13, 15, 17) of the built (5). The junction maintains this work plane (21) in at least one position relative to the frame (5) in which the work plane (21) at least partially releases the inner volume (18) and said opening.

Description

Clearance trolley

The invention relates to a trolley for use in particular as an assistance trolley for clearing eating places, for example in a hospital or care environment, or in collective catering, school canteen or the like.

To get rid of such places, today we mainly use a trolley of the type known as the service trolley or service pedestal table.

A service pedestal table conventionally comprises a set of steerable wheels and a frame mounted on these wheels. The frame comprises four lateral faces, two opposite two, each comprising two mutually opposite uprights. These lateral faces delimit between them an internal volume. This volume is occupied by one or more useful surfaces, in the form of what are generally called trays or worktops. These plates are arranged across the internal volume, if necessary parallel to each other, and fixed, in this position, to the uprights of the frame, in a non-removable manner.

A service pedestal table generally includes two or three trays. One of them is located on an upper side of the pedestal table and then offers the user a work surface at his height. It is the main table of the pedestal table, which forms a work plan itself. The other trays are located at a lower level of the pedestal table and are therefore more suitable for serving as auxiliary surfaces. We can speak of trays or auxiliary plans.

Service pedestal tables are very common. They are used for a wide variety of tasks, not just ridding. In fact, a pedestal table is a multi-purpose cart.

To use a service pedestal table as an unloading assistance trolley, it is fitted with at least one waste receptacle, for example a support capable of receiving a garbage bag. Such a support can be in the form of a wired structure which resembles a basket or even a tray of suitable dimensions.

Generally, a waste receptacle is arranged on a lateral face of the frame, outside the pedestal table and outside the internal volume thereof. Most often, the receptacle is attached

122041_PH2_02_DÉBARRASSAGE.FRD.docx in front of the pedestal table, that is to say on a side face opposite to a face provided with a push or guide handle. The receptacle can be removably mounted on the frame, to maintain the multi-use character of the pedestal table.

To clear a place of catering, such as a refectory or rooms of a hospital service or a retirement home for example, one or more agents go from place to place accompanied by the service pedestal table.

In each place, the agents place dirty utensils and the waste, generally gathered on a meal or service tray, on the main tray of the pedestal table. The waste is deposited in the receptacle provided for this purpose. This waste includes not only leftover meals, but also packaging or certain so-called disposable tableware, such as meal trays or cutlery for example. Once cleared, the meal trays, and more generally the non-disposable tableware, are stored in an auxiliary tray on the pedestal table.

The Applicant has found that this practice is hardly compatible with selective collection of catering waste. At the very least, this practice turns out to be rather ineffective.

A service pedestal table can be fitted with two separate waste receptacles. The presence of two receptacles on the service pedestal makes it possible to sort the waste into two categories, typically recyclable waste and the others, namely waste assimilated to household waste (so-called DAOM waste).

This sorting is however limited. Thus equipped, the service pedestal table is not suitable for collection with sorting of waste into more than two categories, as is the case, for example, when it comes to separating organic waste, or bio-waste , DAOM waste. However, collections of this type, and others at least as selective, are developing, to the point that they are sometimes made compulsory. This is the case in Lrance for example, where establishments producing more than ten tonnes of waste per year, or approximately one hundred and fifty covers per day, are today required to set up a collection in which the waste is sorted according to three categories in question.

To meet this requirement, the Applicant first envisaged equipping a service pedestal table with more waste receptacles, for example three bag holders. However, it found that, the size of the pedestal table being fixed, more supports or receptacles imply reducing the volume, and therefore that of the bags themselves. Smaller bags fill up faster: paradoxically, by sorting waste very selectively, we tend to increase the volumes collected. This is due, for example, to the fact that a container, such as a meal tray, and its contents are collected separately, which corresponds to a collected volume which can almost double. In any event, it would therefore be necessary to bring the service pedestal table more frequently to the higher level collection point, or use one or more auxiliary pedestal tables to collect the full receptacles there.

The Applicant has also thought of using the main tray and the auxiliary trays of the service pedestal table, whether or not equipped with waste receptacles, for storing together dirty utensils and waste until the pedestal table reaches a collection point for upper level, where the waste would then be sorted. However, this implies reviewing the organization of these collection places, which, at least today, are not suitable for sorting waste of such magnitude.

The Applicant has set itself the objective of improving the situation. To this end, it offers a trolley of a new type, for use in particular as a trolley to assist in the wise removal of eating places.

The proposed cart includes a set of steerable wheels and a frame. The frame includes a set of uprights supported by the set of wheels. The frame has four opposite side faces two by two, delimiting between them an internal volume. The cart further comprises at least one work surface capable of receiving utensils for dishes. The frame further comprises a set of crosspieces assembled to the uprights, these crosspieces leaving at least one of the side faces of the frame free to form an opening on the internal volume. The carriage further comprises at least one junction of a first type by means of which the work surface is mounted on at least one of the lateral faces of the frame. The junction of the first type is arranged so as to maintain this work plan in at least one position

Unlike the known trolleys, in particular the service pedestal table, the proposed trolley is specially adapted for clearing eating places. The worktop can be used to place dirty crockery, especially meal or serving trays. There is at least one position where the work surface releases the internal volume of the carriage. This volume can receive a plurality of waste receptacles, in the form of bags or bins for example. The receptacles can occupy the entire interior volume, if necessary without depriving the operator of the use of the work surface. It is possible to use receptacles of large capacity, at least of conventional capacity, for example of about thirty liters.

Released from these receptacles, the internal volume can receive the free internal volume of a similar carriage. Two trolleys of the proposed type can be stored in a smaller footprint than two trolleys, typically two service side tables.

The carriage 1 comprises a set of steerable wheels 3, here four in number, and a frame 5 mounted on the steerable wheels 3.

The frame 5 is produced here in the form of a mechanically welded structure made of an assembly of segments of hollow sections, in particular of rectangular or square section. The frame 5 is non-removable. The profiles, and more generally the frame 5, are here made of stainless steel. This makes it possible to easily clean or disinfect the trolley 1. This makes the trolley 1 usable in a hospital or healthcare environment, or in the food industry, in an office or in a kitchen.

The frame 5 has a generally parallelepiped shape with a first large face, or upper face 7, generally parallel to a plane defined by the steerable wheels 3, a second large face opposite the first, or lower face 9, a first small side face , or front face 11, a second small lateral face opposite to the front face 11, or rear face 13, a first large lateral face connecting the front face 11 to the rear face 13, or straight face 15 and a second large lateral face, or left face 17, connecting the front face 11 to the rear face 13 and opposite to the right face 15.

The upper face 7 of the frame 5 corresponds to the upper face of the carriage 1. The lower face 9 of the frame 5 receives the steerable wheels 3. The front faces 11, rear 13, right 15 and left 17 correspond respectively to the front, rear faces, right and left of carriage 1.

The carriage 1 has for example a space corresponding to 960 millimeters long, 560 millimeters wide and 900 millimeters high. This size is close to that of a trolley of the classic service pedestal type.

The front 11, rear 13, right 15 and left 17 faces define an interior volume 18. The frame 5 is open on the upper 7 and lower face 9. The frame 5 is also open on one of its large lateral faces, here the left face 17. The left face 17 of the frame 5 is free of material. The left face 17 allows access to the interior volume 18. The interior volume 18 is open on the left face 17, which forms an opening on this volume.

Seen from the upper face 7, the frame 5 has a general U-shaped appearance, the base of which corresponds here to the right face 15 and the branches to the front 11 and rear 13 faces.

The carriage 1 comprises a guide handle 10. The guide handle 10 is fixed, here in a non-removable manner, to the frame 5, on the rear face 13. The guide handle 10 could be removable.

The carriage 1 further comprises a first shelf 21. This first shelf 21 has a shape and dimensions such that the first shelf 21 can receive tableware, in particular one or more meal or serving trays.

Here, the first shelf 21 has a rectangular appearance. The first shelf 21 extends for example over 560 millimeters in length by 400 millimeters in width. The first shelf 21 is made of a rigid material, compatible with the use of the carriage 1 as an assistant for clearing. The second shelf 25 has a shape and dimensions such that the second shelf 25 can receive crockery utensils, in particular meal or serving trays. The second shelf 25 has in particular a shape and dimensions similar to those of the first shelf 21. The second shelf 25 has a resistance such that it can receive several tableware utensils, in particular a stack of meal or serving trays . The carriage 1 also comprises a set of supports of a first type, or first supports, each adapted to form a respective waste receptacle, here by receiving a bag, in particular of the type commonly known as a garbage bag. Preferably, the fourth junction is adapted to hold the first supports, at least some of them, removably relative to the frame 5. The first supports can be detached from the frame 5. The first supports 33 then release the interior volume 18.

The fourth junction is arranged in such a way that, in the deployed position, the first supports are located substantially at the level of the upper face 7 of the frame 5, in particular their upper end of these first supports. The first supports are then, relative to the steerable wheels 3, at working height for a standing man.

The carriage 1 also comprises at least one additional support 37, here adapted to form an additional receptacle, here a receiving tank 39. The additional support 37 is optional. Preferably, the additional support 37 is configured so as to receive a receptacle suitable for storing tableware utensils, in particular cutlery.

The carriage 1 comprises a set of parts forming a junction of a fifth type (not referenced in FIG. 1), or fifth junction, which connects the additional support 37 to the frame 5. The fifth junction is adapted to hold the additional support 37 at least in a first position, or deployed position, relative to the frame 5, position in which the additional support 37 is here in the interior volume 18, between the upper 7 and lower 9 faces, entirely. The additional support 37 is located in the vicinity of the bag supports 33, preferably at the same level as the latter.

Preferably, the fifth junction is able to hold the additional support 37 removably relative to the frame 5. The additional support 37 can be separated from the frame 5 and thus release the interior volume 18.

The fifth junction is arranged in such a way that, in the deployed position, the additional support 37 is located substantially at the level of the upper face 7 of the frame 5. An upper end of this support, which generally receives an edge of the receptacle 39, is then found substantially at the level of the upper face 7 of the carriage 1. A mouth of the receiving tank 39 is then at the height of a man relative to the steerable wheels 3, substantially at the level of the upper face of the carriage 1.

The assembly 50 comprises a set of uprights and a set of crosspieces each attached to at least one of the uprights, here in a non-removable manner.

Here, the set of uprights comprises four uprights 45-1 ... 45-4 which extend parallel to each other and in opposite pairs and are held in this position by the crosspieces.

The first upright 45-1 and the fourth upright 45-4 correspond to the left face 17 of the frame 5. The face of the assembly 50 corresponding to this left face 17 is devoid of crosspiece. A secondary upright 56 connects the third crosspieces 47-3 to each other. The secondary upright 56 extends parallel to the uprights 45-1 .. .45-4. This secondary amount 56 is located near the third amount 45-3.

The uprights and the crosspieces are here made from hollow sections, typically of square section. Here, the section has a side of 25 millimeters.

Each of the secondary crosspieces 55-1 ... 55-4 here carries a pair of respective fasteners, spaced from one another. The third secondary cross member 55-3 and the fourth secondary cross member 55-4 each carry a respective first fastener 57-1. The first fasteners 57-1 are to the right of each other. The first secondary cross member 55-1 and the second secondary cross member 55-2 still each carry a respective fourth attachment 57-4. The fourth fasteners 55-4 are located to the right of each other. The support legs 59 of the lower frame 48-2 operate in the manner of at least part of the fourth junction described in relation to FIG. 1.

A pair of articulation yokes of a first type, or first yokes 61, is fixed to the second frame 51. Here, a respective first yoke 61 is fixed to each of the third upright 45-3 and of the fourth upright 45-4, at an intermediate level between the small upper cross member 47-1 and the third secondary cross member 55-3.

The first yokes 61 make it possible to attach a shelf to the second chassis 51 in an articulated manner, typically the first shelf 21 in FIG. 1. The first yokes 61 can selectively hold the shelf in question relative to the assembly 50 in a retracted position where the tablet extends parallel to the second chassis 51 and a deployed position where the tablet projects from this second chassis 51. Here, the lower frame 48-2 further comprises a pair of extensions 65 which each protrude from the second chassis 51, moving away from the first chassis 49.
