L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination de la saturation résiduelle d'un premier fluide dans un milieu poreux à l'injection d'un deuxième fluide dans ledit milieu poreux comprenant les étapes suivantes: a) On place au moins un échantillon dudit milieu poreux imbibé par ledit premier fluide, dans une centrifugeuse à une gravité effective g* pendant une durée de centrifugation t, ledit deuxième fluide étant injecté par ladite centrifugeuse ; b) On mesure la saturation résiduelle au premier fluide dudit échantillon par Résonance Magnétique Nucléaire ou par pesée immergée ; c) On répète les étapes a) et b) en faisant varier la valeur de ladite gravité effective g* ; d) On construit une courbe de saturation résiduelle du premier fluide dudit milieu poreux à l'injection dudit deuxième fluide à partir de chaque saturation résiduelle mesurée pour chaque valeur de ladite gravité effective testée g*.
