L'invention concerne un dispositif d'éclairage (2) comprenant : - une source de lumière (4) non orthotrope apte à générer un faisceau lumineux (il, i2) ayant une indicatrice d'émission ayant au moins une intensité lumineuse maximale s'étendant selon une direction d'intensité maximale (D1, D2) ; cette indicatrice d'émission présentant un maximum d'intensité à une distance angulaire constante et non nulle de l'axe d'émission, et - un collimateur (8) apte à collimater le faisceau lumineux (il, i2), ledit collimateur comprenant au moins une zone contre laquelle au moins une partie du faisceau lumineux est réfléchi, dite zone de réflexion totale (10), caractérisé en ce que ledit collimateur (8) est conformé de manière à ce que ladite au moins une direction d'intensité maximale (D1, D2) intersecte ladite au moins une zone de réflexion totale (10).
