Field of the invention

The present invention relates to the field of bags for medical use.

The present invention relates more particularly to a bag for medical use allowing an integrated rinsing.

The pouch for medical use according to the present invention is more particularly suitable for treatments by infusion of antibiotic or anticancer products, for which the administration of the prescribed dose is very important.

State of the art

Currently, when administering an antibiotic by infusion in a hospital setting, two separate infusion bags are used. One pocket contains the active ingredient antibiotic and the other pocket contains the rinse aid.

The French patent No. FR 2 871 062 B1, which relates to an infusion bag with integrated rinsing, is known in the prior art. This prior art invention relates to a bag for medical use for infusion of a drug by gravity, comprising at least two compartments, one containing a drug in the form of a solution and the other a rinsing solution and separation / communication means of the compartments allowing the rinsing solution to automatically enter the compartment containing the medicine only at the end of the infusion. The rinsing solution ends its infusion therefore rinses the drug bag and the infusion sign, thus eliminating the risks of contamination and the loss of the residual drug from the bag and that contained in the infusion sign.

Statement of the invention

The present invention intends to remedy the drawbacks of the prior art by proposing a bag for medical use using the principle of gravity and making it possible to group in a single pocket the process of administration of the active principle and of the rinsing product.

To this end, the present invention relates, in its most general sense, to a bag for medical use comprising at least two superimposed compartments, the first compartment being intended to receive a treatment in the form of liquid, and the second compartment being intended to receive a rinse aid in liquid form, said bag for medical use comprising a breakable connector separating the two compartments, the rupture of which allows said rinse aid to flow from said second compartment to said first compartment.

The present invention makes it possible to transfer a liquid from one compartment to another, while guaranteeing:

- A seal;

- Rinsing of the main compartment and the infusion line;

- Good grip ergonomics, the invention guaranteeing ease and reliability of use, without affecting the other functions of the system; and

- Visual inspection of the opening of the connection between the two compartments and its flow.

Thanks to the present invention, the following problems are solved:

- Loss of content that remains in line;

- Failure to administer all of the active ingredient; and

- Use of two separate pockets for administration and rinsing.

Advantageously, said pocket also comprises an access tube to said second compartment.

Preferably, said pocket further comprises a connector linked to said first compartment for introducing into said first compartment the treatment in the form of liquid.

Advantageously, said pocket further comprises a connector for carrying out an infusion, said connector being linked to said first compartment.

According to one embodiment, said breakable connector has a geometry allowing good grip.

According to one embodiment, said breakable connector is made of a material making it possible to limit the number of particles generated.

According to one embodiment, said breakable connector is produced by injection.

According to one embodiment, said breakable connector is located in the second compartment between the two films constituting said pocket.

Advantageously, said breakable connector comprises a tubular base, welded to said pocket between the two compartments.

According to one embodiment, said tubular base comprises several layers.

Advantageously, said pocket further comprises a hanging hole.

According to one embodiment, said compartments have slopes making it possible to correct the flow.

Detailed description of embodiments of the invention

The present invention relates to a bag 10 for medical use comprising at least two compartments 11, 12 superimposed, the first compartment 11 being intended to receive a treatment in the form of liquid, and the second compartment 12 being intended to receive a rinsing product. in liquid form, said pocket 10 for medical use comprising a breakable connector 15 separating the two compartments 11, 12, the rupture of which allows said rinse product to flow from said second compartment 12 to said first compartment 11.

When injected into the patient, the treatment compartment 11 is initially filled with diluent, the active principle being reconstituted by the nursing staff before infusion. Once the treatment product is almost administered, the breakable connector 15 between the two compartments 11, 12 is broken by the nursing staff. This allows the rinse aid to pass by gravity into the treatment compartment 11 in order to rinse the latter and the infusion line. Thus, this system allows total administration of the active ingredient to the patient.

The flow by gravity of the rinse aid from the second compartment 12 to the first compartment 11 is very rapid. When the nursing staff breaks the breakable connector 15 by pinching with a tilting effect, pressure is exerted and a rinsing effect occurs in said first compartment 11.

The breakable connector is trapped in the second compartment 12. It does not block the infusion line and does not obstruct the flow.

In one embodiment, the first compartment 11 has a volume of between 50 ml and 100 ml.

In one embodiment, the second compartment 12 has a volume substantially equal to 25 ml.

In one embodiment, said pocket 10 according to the present invention further comprises a tube 13 for access to said second compartment 12.

In one embodiment, said pocket 10 according to the present invention further comprises a connector 14 linked to said first compartment 11 for introducing into said first compartment 11 the treatment in the form of liquid.

In one embodiment, said pocket 10 according to the present invention further comprises a connector 16 for carrying out an infusion, said connector 16 being linked to said first compartment 11.

In one embodiment, said breakable connector 15 has a geometry allowing good grip. In particular, said breakable connector 15 has a thin part with a wider head.

In one embodiment, said breakable connector 15 is made of a material making it possible to limit the number of particles generated. This makes it possible to have a good break and to make the bag according to the present invention conform to the standard as regards generated particles.

In one embodiment, said breakable connector 15 is produced by injection.

In one embodiment, said breakable connector 15 is located in the second compartment 12 between the two films constituting said pocket 10.

In one embodiment, said breakable connector 15 comprises a tubular base, welded to said pocket 10 between the two compartments 11, 12.

In one embodiment, said tubular base comprises several layers.

In one embodiment, said pocket 10 according to the present invention further comprises a suspension hole 17.

In one embodiment, said compartments 11, 12 comprise 2 o slopes making it possible to correct the flow.

Pouch (10) for medical use comprising at least two superposed compartments (11, 12), the first compartment (11) being intended to receive a treatment in the form of liquid, and the second compartment (12) being intended to receive a rinse aid in liquid form, said bag (10) for medical use being characterized in that it comprises a breakable connector (15) separating the two compartments (11, 12), the rupture of which allows a flow of said rinse aid from said second compartment (12) to said first compartment (11). 2. Pouch (10) for medical use comprising at least two compartments (11, 12) according to claim 1, characterized in that it further comprises a tube (13) for access to said second compartment (12). 3.
