The content of tetrachloromethane in said composition may be less than 5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 2% by weight, preferably less than 1% by weight, more preferably less than 5000 ppm, in particular less than 1000 ppm, more particularly less than 500 ppm, preferably less than 100 ppm, more preferably less than 50 ppm. The content of 1,2,2-trichloro-1-fluoroethylene in said composition can be less than 5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 2% by weight, preferably less than 1% by weight , more preferably less than 5000 ppm, in particular less than 1000 ppm, more particularly less than 500 ppm, preferably less than 100 ppm, more preferably less than 50 ppm.

Alternatively, said composition can also be free of 1,2,2-trichloro-lfluoroethylene, that is to say less than 1 ppm based on the total weight of the composition.

The content of chloropropene isomers in said composition may be less than 5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 2% by weight, preferably less than 1% by weight, more preferably less than 5000 ppm, in particular less than 1000 ppm, more particularly less than 500 ppm, preferably less than 100 ppm, more preferably less than 50 ppm. Alternatively, said composition can also be devoid of chloropropene isomers, that is to say less than 1 ppm based on the total weight of the composition.

The content of 1,2-dichloro-1-fluoroethylene in said composition may be less than 5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 2% by weight, preferably less than 1% by weight, more preferably less than 5000 ppm, in particular less than 1000 ppm, more particularly less than 500 ppm, preferably less than 100 ppm, more preferably less than 50 ppm. Alternatively, said composition can also be devoid of 1,2-dichloro-lfluoroethylene, that is to say less than 1 ppm based on the total weight of the composition.

The content of l-chloro-2-fluoroethane in said composition may be less than 5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 2% by weight, preferably less than 1% by weight, more preferably less at 5000 ppm, in particular less than 1000 ppm, more particularly less than 500 ppm, preferably less than 100 ppm, more preferably less than 50 ppm. Alternatively, said composition can also be devoid of 1-chloro-2fluoroethane, that is to say less than 1 ppm based on the total weight of the composition.

The content of 1-chloro-1-fluoroethane in said composition may be less than 5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 2% by weight, preferably less than 1% by weight, more preferably less at 5000 ppm, in particular less than 1000 ppm, more particularly less than 500 ppm, preferably less than 100 ppm, more preferably less than 50 ppm. The content of 1,1-chloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane in said composition can be less than 5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 2% by weight, preferably less than 1% by weight, more preferably less than 5000 ppm, in particular less than 1000 ppm, more particularly less than 500 ppm, preferably less than 100 ppm, more preferably less than 50 ppm. Alternatively, said composition can also be devoid of l, l-chloro-2,2,2trifluoroethane, that is to say less than 1 ppm based on the total weight of the composition.

The content of 1,1,1-trichloro-2,2-difluoroethane in said composition may be less than 5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 2% by weight, preferably less than 1% by weight, more preferably less than 5000 ppm, in particular less than 1000 ppm, more particularly less than 500 ppm, preferably less than 100 ppm, more preferably less than 50 ppm. Alternatively, said composition may also be devoid of 1,1,1-trichloro-2,2difluoroethane, that is to say less than 1 ppm based on the total weight of the composition.

The H2O content in said composition may be less than 1% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 5000 ppm, preferably less than 3000 ppm, more preferably less than 1000 ppm, in particular less than 750 ppm , more particularly less than 500 ppm, preferably less than 250 ppm, more preferably less than 100 ppm, even more preferably less than 50 ppm, most preferably less than 10 ppm.

The HCl content in said composition may be such that its pH is between 6 and 9, advantageously between 6.5 and 8.5, preferably between 6.5 and 8.0, more preferably between 7, 0 and 8.0. The HCl content may be less than 5%, advantageously less than 2%, preferably less than 5000 ppm, more preferably less than 1000 ppm, in particular less than 100 ppm, more particularly less than 1 ppm.

As indicated above, the HCl content in any one of the compositions described above can be such that the pH thereof is between 6 and 9, advantageously between 6.5 and 8.5, preferably between 6.5 and 8.0, more preferably between 7.0 and 8.0.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, a composition comprising 1-chloro2,2-difluoroethane and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene is provided.

Preferably, said composition comprises at least 40% by weight of 1-chloro-2,2difluoroethane, advantageously at least 50% by weight, preferably at least 60% by weight; and a content by weight of trans-1,2-dichloroethylene is less than 25%, advantageously less than 20% by weight, preferably less than 15% by weight, more preferably less than 10% by weight, in particular less than 5 % by weight, more particularly less than 3% by weight, preferably less than 10000 ppm, more preferably less than 5000 ppm based on the total weight of the composition.

According to another aspect, the present invention provides a composition comprising at least 30% by weight of l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane based on the total weight of the composition; said composition being devoid of 1,1-dichloroethylene. According to a preferred embodiment, said composition comprises at least 40% by weight of l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously at least 50% by weight of 1-chloro2,2-difluoroethane , preferably at least 60% by weight of l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane, in particular at least 80% by weight of l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane, more particularly at least 90% by weight of l- chloro-2,2-difluoroethane, preferably at least 95% by weight of l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane.

According to a preferred embodiment, said composition comprises less than 40% by weight of said at least one additional compound based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously less than 35% by weight, preferably less than 30% by weight, more preferably less than 25% by weight, in particular less than 20% by weight, more particularly less than 10% by weight of said at least one additional compound based on the total weight of the composition. Preferably, said composition, devoid of 1,1-dichloroethylene, comprises:

• at least 40% by weight of l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane, advantageously at least 50% by weight, preferably at least 60% by weight, in particular at least 80% by weight, more particularly at least 90% by weight, preferably at least 95% by weight, • and at least one, two, three or all of the compounds selected from the group consisting of:

According to another aspect of the present invention, the compositions described in the present application can be used as starting material for the synthesis of 2,2difluoroethylamine.

The compositions according to the present invention also find application in a process for the preparation of a compound of formula CF2CH2NHCH2A (I) comprising the steps of:

According to another aspect of the present invention, the compositions described in the present application can be used as reagents for the synthesis of vinylidene fluoride and / or 1,2-difluoroethylene.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the compositions described in the present application can be used as a foaming agent or as a refrigerant.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the compositions described in the present application can be used as reagent or synthesis intermediate for the preparation of 2,2-difluoroethanol or for the preparation of compounds comprising a functional group sulfone, ether, ester, methacrylate or for the preparation of ethyldifluorobromoacetate.

The compositions according to the present invention can be obtained by various methods. The compounds present in said composition can vary depending on the process used. For example, a composition according to the present invention comprising 1-chloro2,2-difluoroethane can be obtained from 1,1,2-trichloroethane or l-chloro-2,2,2trifluoroethane or 1,1-difluoroethane by adapted processes.

Said compositions can be obtained by mixing the various constituents thereof in the desired proportions. For example, l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane is commercially available (Synquest Laboratories, product: 1100-7-09), trans-1,2dichloroethylene, cis-1,2,2-dichloroethylene, 1,1-dichloroethylene , 1,1,2-trifluoroethane are available from Sigma-Aldrich (D62209, D62004, 163023, 270369).

Alternatively, said compositions can be obtained by chemical synthesis from commercial precursors.

Examples

Compositions 1 to 5 detailed in Table 1 were prepared. Unless otherwise indicated, the contents are expressed by weight relative to the total weight of the composition. The compositions 1 to 5 have a pH of between 6 and 9. The compositions were analyzed by coupling gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) in electron ionization mode (70eV) and quadrupole analyzer. A calibration curve was carried out for reference compounds at different concentrations (10%, 5%, 1%, 500 ppm, 100 ppm). A calibration curve has been developed for 1,1,1-trifluoroethane, 1,1-difluoroethane, chlorotrifluoroethylene, 1-chloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane, cis-1-chloro-2-fluoroethylene, 1- chloro2,2-difluoroethane, chloropropene, l, 2-dichloro-l, l-difluoroethane, trans-1,2dichloroethylene, 1,2,2-trichloro-l, l-difluoroethane, trichloroethylene, 1,1,2-trichloroethane. The chromatographic conditions used are as follows:

Claims (10)

Claims 1. Composition comprising at least 30% by weight l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane based on the total weight of the composition and hydrochloric acid. 2. Composition according to the preceding claim, characterized in that it comprises at least 40% by weight of l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane based on the total weight of the composition, advantageously at least 50% by weight of l-chloro -2,2-difluoroethane, preferably at least 60% by weight of l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane, in particular at least 80% by weight of 1chloro-2,2-difluoroethane, more particularly at least 90% by weight weight of l-chloro-2,2difluoroethane, preferably at least 95% by weight of l-chloro-2,2-difluoroethane. 3.
