Un dispositif (DA) permet d'assister le conducteur d'un véhicule (V) à conduite autonome et comprenant des équipements pouvant réaliser des tâches et un écran (EA1) affichant des informations représentatives de la réalisation d'une tâche en cours et/ou d'un résultat d'une tâche en cours. Ce dispositif (DA) comprend des moyens d'analyse (MAN) propres à estimer la durée totale d'une tâche ou d'une phase de conduite, et, lorsque cette tâche ou phase de conduite est commencée, à estimer la durée restant avant l'horaire estimé de fin de cette tâche ou phase de conduite, puis à déclencher l'affichage sur l'écran (EA1) d'une matérialisation de la durée restante en complément des informations correspondantes, tandis que lorsque cette tâche ou phase de conduite doit commencer à un instant estimé, à déclencher l'affichage sur l'écran (EA1) d'informations représentatives de cette tâche ou phase de conduite prévue et de la durée restant avant l'instant estimé.A device (DA) for assisting the driver of a vehicle (V) with autonomous driving and comprising equipment capable of performing tasks and a screen (EA1) displaying information representative of the execution of a task in progress and / or a result of an ongoing task.
