Abstract

Le dispositif d'éclairage est destiné préférentiellement aux deux-roues motorisés. Ses sources lumineuses sont agencées et commandées de telle manière qu'elles soient perçues comme continues ou clignotantes selon la distance et la direction d'observation. On dispose deux sources (1) et (2) à l'avant d'un véhicule (3), distantes d'un écart (e), typiquement de trois à trente centimètres. L'écart (e) est choisi de manière que pour un observateur (O), (e) soit supérieur à la résolution angulaire de certaines zones de l'œil lorsque l'observateur (O) regarde le dispositif d'éclairage d'une distance (D) inférieure à une distance spécifiée DO, et inférieur à ladite résolution angulaire lorsque la distance (D) est supérieure à DO. Les sources sont modulées en amplitude en opposition de phase à luminosité totale constante et à une fréquence perçue comme clignotante dans les zones périphériques de la rétine mais continue dans sa région centrale.
