Abstract

The Parabou is a device for the protection of pastry cakes during positioning and then blowing birthday candles. The invention relates to a device positioned above the pastry cake (10) resting on the serving plate (11), to prevent deterioration of the surface of the cake and its decorations, the dripping wax and the contaminations by blowing candles. It consists of a plate (1) having orifices (2) to allow the insertion of the candle holders (9), feet (3) hinged to the plate (1) provided with reinforcement (5) achieving the stability of the entire device. The device is intended for individuals wishing to protect the pastry cake during the positioning of birthday candles.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for protecting pastry cakes during positioning and then blowing birthday candles.

The positioning of birthday candles and their holders on a pastry cake is traditionally achieved by pressing the supports of said candles into the surface of the cake.

The pastry cake and its decorations can be found: - deteriorated by the points of the candle holders in proportion to their number, - spoiled by the dripping of wax consecutive to the instability of the device, - contaminated by the blowing of the candles.

Some candle holders are offered with a wide base, and settle on the cake. Their size is reduced and allows positioning a maximum of two candles. They do not solve points 2 and 3.

The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy these various disadvantages. It comprises in fact according to a first characteristic, a flat surface (said plate) of sufficient size to integrate orifices for the insertion of candle holders; feet, at least three in number, hinged to the tray, to position the device above a cake-baker by resting on the serving dish.

According to particular embodiments: - Feet at least three, may be a part of the plate, a thinner area forming the joint - Trapezoidal reinforcements, may constitute part of the feet, a zone of less thickness forming the joint.

The plate may comprise cutouts for the abutment reinforcements stabilizing the assembly.

With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a plate (1) with a surface sufficient to be perforated up to 100 orifices (2) with a diameter of 1 mm, having a shape corresponding to the tip of a support of candle (9).

The tray (1) can be bare, with inscriptions or have zones for the quick counting of candles (14) to be arranged.

Feet (3) with a minimum of three, are cut in the surface of the tray (1) on three sides and can be deployed from the center of the tray (1), with a slight pressure of the user; the fourth side of the foot, of lesser thickness serving as hinge (4) by folding to form a sufficient angle (8) with the plate (1) allowing the stability of the device.

Each foot (3) may comprise in its central part a reinforcement (5) of trapezoidal shape (13), precut on three sides, deploying with a slight pressure of the user; the fourth side of the reinforcement (5), of lesser thickness serving as hinge (6) by folding to allow the insertion of the end of the reinforcement (5) into a cutout (7) made on the surface of the tray (1); the trapezoidal shape (13) of the reinforcement (5) limits its insertion into the cutout (7) and ensures an angle between the foot (3) and the plate (1) sufficient to stabilize the entire device.

The device will be of food-safe, flame retardant or slow-burning material.

The device according to the invention is particularly intended for individuals wishing to protect their pastry cake when positioning and then blowing birthday candles.

1) Device for protecting a cake pastry during positioning and then blowing birthday candles, characterized in that it comprises a flat surface said plate (1) having orifices (2) that allow the insertion of the supports of candles (9) and feet (3), hinged to the plate, for positioning the device over a cake pastry (10), resting on the serving dish (11). 2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that feet (3) may constitute a portion of the plate (1), a thinner zone forming the joint (4) allowing their folding to an angle (8). guaranteeing the stability of the device 3) Device according to claim 2 characterized in that reinforcements (5) may form part of the feet (3), a thinner area forming the joint (6). 4) Device according to claim 2 and 3 characterized in that the reinforcements (5) may be trapezoidal (13) for insertion into a cutout (7) of the plate (1) allowing their abutment, ensuring an angle between the foot (3) and the plate (1) sufficient to ensure the stability of the device.
