Abstract

The orthosis comprises a sole (1) on which are fixed shaped elements: heels (upper (2) lower5), heel ring (3), internal hemi-cupola (4). It is covered with neoprene fabric. The podiatry orthosis modifies the natural course coordinating the actions of the constituent elements (bones, ligaments, muscles) of the foot: during static deformation it reduces crushing and excessive elongation of the arches, during dynamic deformation, it avoids excessive and painful contraction of the plantar stretchers. This permanent conditioning of the positions of the foot diverts the points of application of the tensioners and muscle bundles to areas less vulnerable to the onset of the inflammatory phenomenon, which causes the appearance and then the growth of the heel spine. These purely mechanical aspects are supplemented by the impregnation of the neoprene coating with an anti-inflammatory, the effects of which, of a therapeutic nature, give it a biactive character.
