Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un matériau composite comprenant une pluralité d'objets céramiques dans une matrice liante, comprenant les étapes suivantes : • le mélange des objets céramiques avec une poudre de ladite matrice, lesdits objets présentant une dimension au moins dix fois supérieure à celle des grains de la poudre, ladite matrice liante comprenant un composé de formule Mn+1AXn, où : - M est un ou plusieurs éléments du groupe suivant : Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf et Ta ; - A est un ou plusieurs des éléments du groupe suivant : Al, Si, Sb, Bi, P, S, Se, Te, Po, Ga, Ge, As, Cd, In, Tl et Pb ; X est du carbone, de l'azote ou une combinaison de carbone et d'azote ; n est un nombre entier égal à 1, 2 ou 3 ; • la mise en place dudit mélange dans un moule, • l'application simultanée d'une pression et d'un chauffage au mélange contenu dans le moule, de sorte à fritter les grains de la matrice liante autour des objets céramiques.
