Description
The present invention relates to a magnetic connector device that can operate in an aquatic or submarine environment and is intended to allow the transmission of energy from a base station to a base station. electrical equipment, in particular an electric vehicle, in an aquatic or marine environment. More particularly, the object of the present invention is to provide a submarine magnetic connector device, particularly for charging subsea electric vehicles, from a base station - energy source. One of the problems to be solved lies in the difficulty encountered, with the known systems, in correctly positioning the underwater vehicle vis-à-vis the base station connector.
In terms of treating the general problem of recharging a vehicle in an aquatic or marine environment, contactless connector devices are described in the state of the art. The document FR 2962251 A1 describes an example of a contactless connector capable of enabling the transmission of energy from a source to a load. Similarly, the document US 5907231 B1 proposes a magnetic connector device for charging an electric vehicle. On the other hand, document US 2002/0083880 A1 relates to a submarine vehicle type ROV, for Remotely Operated Vehicle, guided, and whose power supply is embedded on a surface vessel. There is no question, in this disclosure, of a capacity for the underwater vehicle to connect directly to a station to recharge batteries on board. The vehicle described in US 2002/0083880 A1 is in fact wire-guided and electrically connected to a control station; he is not electrically autonomous. Through all the devices described, however, the state of the art is silent on the question of the positioning of an autonomous electric vehicle, to recharge in an aquatic or marine environment, vis-à-vis a base station, source of energy, provided with at least a connector portion adapted to transmit energy to said electric vehicle. In addition, the known devices of magnetic connectors for the transmission of electrical energy generally have the defect of requiring the presence of electronic components, which is particularly restrictive in aquatic or marine environment, since it is well known that the electronic components 35077-140305-Txt depot 3018948 2 are very sensitive and fragile in this type of environment. The use of such electronic components is therefore likely to generate low robustness and reliability of the connector device considered.
L'aire de la surface de contact reliée au circuit magnétique primaire est avantageusement supérieure à l'aire de la surface de contact reliée au circuit magnétique secondaire, en particulier d'un rapport 2, ou encore d'un rapport 3.In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, the present invention proposes a magnetic connector configured to facilitate the connection and the transmission of energy between a base station and an electric vehicle, in particular an underwater vehicle. To this end, the present invention provides a magnetic connector device, operable in an aquatic or submarine environment, for transferring energy from a base station to an electrical equipment, said base station having a circuit primary magnet adapted to be electrically powered, and said electrical equipment having a secondary magnetic circuit, said magnetic connector device comprising said primary and secondary magnetic circuits, as well as a contact surface connected to the primary magnetic circuit and a connected contact surface to the secondary magnetic circuit, said contact surfaces being bare, said magnetic connector device being configured in such a way that, the primary magnetic circuit being electrically powered and the electrical equipment being at a suitable distance from the base station, a force magnetic attraction exerts itself between the respective contact surfaces of the primary and secondary magnetic circuits to cause the contacting of said contact surfaces of the primary and secondary magnetic circuits in parallel so as to allow transfer of electrical energy from the base station to the equipment electric. According to preferred embodiments, the invention comprises one or more of the following features: The magnetic connector device according to the invention may comprise a plurality of contact surfaces connected to the primary magnetic circuit and / or a plurality of contact surfaces. connected to the secondary magnetic circuit. The magnetic connector according to the invention may comprise a cathodic protection device in the form of a sacrificial anode consisting of a metal chosen to be more reductive than the primary or secondary magnetic circuit and connected to the primary magnetic circuit, respectively secondary. The magnetic connector according to the invention may comprise a cathodic protection device in the form of a current under-draw device capable of imposing on the primary or secondary magnetic circuit a potential lower than that of the medium, said magnetic circuit primary, respectively secondary, being furthermore distinctly connected to a submerged reference anode. The magnetic connector according to the invention may comprise a Frager coil device configured to minimize the vibrations of the primary and secondary magnetic circuits. The primary and secondary magnetic circuits may include air gaps consisting of soft iron lamellae isolated from each other. It may also be noted that such lamellae may also be made of any other material or alloy that is a good conductor of magnetic flux, such as FeSi or FeCo in particular. The base station can advantageously transmit, via said submarine magnetic connector, both energy and data, at distinct frequencies. The area of the contact surface connected to the primary magnetic circuit is advantageously greater than the area of the contact surface connected to the secondary magnetic circuit, in particular a ratio 2, or a ratio 3.
The primary magnetic circuit is electrically powered in three-phase, possibly continuously in time. The present invention furthermore relates to: an electric vehicle comprising a secondary magnetic circuit capable of cooperating with a primary magnetic circuit of a base station, said primary magnetic circuit being electrically powered, to form a magnetic connector device, allowing the transfer energy from the base station to the electric vehicle; A base station comprising an electrically powered primary circuit capable of cooperating with a secondary magnetic circuit of an electric vehicle to form a connector device for transferring energy from the base station to the electric vehicle; and a method of transferring energy from a base station to an underwater electric vehicle, said base station having a primary magnetic circuit, and said underwater electric vehicle having a secondary magnetic circuit, comprising: guidance of the underwater electric vehicle to near the base station; - the power supply of the primary magnetic circuit of the base station, 35077--140305-Txt depot 3018948 4 the proximity between the underwater electric vehicle and the base station and the power supply of the primary magnetic circuit being configured so as to it exerts a magnetic attraction force between said base station and said underwater electric vehicle; Contacting, via suitable contact surfaces, the primary magnetic circuit and the secondary magnetic circuit, so as to allow the transfer of energy from the base station to the underwater electric vehicle; disconnection of the power supply of the primary magnetic circuit to enable the underwater electric vehicle to be unhooked from the base station. Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent on reading the description which follows, given with reference to the appended drawings which represent: FIG. 1: a diagram of the magnetic connector device according to the invention; Figure 2: a schematic representation of a system comprising an underwater electric vehicle and a base station, equipped with the magnetic connector device according to the invention; FIG. 3 is a diagram of a magnetic field formed by the closure of the magnetic connector device according to the invention. FIG. 1 represents a diagram of an example of a magnetic connector according to the invention, comprising a first magnetic circuit portion C1 - or primary magnetic circuit - and a second magnetic circuit portion C2 - or secondary magnetic circuit - the first magnetic circuit part Cl being part of a base station connected to an external power source SRC which can for example be located on a boat or a platform, and the second part of the magnetic circuit C2 being an integral part of an electric vehicle, such as a submarine autonomous electric vehicle. As mentioned above, an object of the present invention is to provide an underwater magnetic connector for the transfer of energy between a base station, in particular underwater, and electrical equipment, for example an electric vehicle, particularly underwater. marine and autonomous, such as an AUV, for 35 Autonomous Underwater Vehicle according to the acronym dedicated. One of the main constraints to be overcome in this context lies in the problem of relative positioning of the underwater electric vehicle with respect to the station of 35077--140305-Txt depot 3018948 base, so as to close the magnetic connector and thus make possible recharging the REC batteries of the underwater electric vehicle. With reference to the figures, the embodiments described are more particularly focused on an embodiment in which the electrical equipment capable of connecting to the base station S is an AUV submarine autonomous vehicle, but it is clear that the present invention can also be used for the connection of any electrical equipment to a base station S via the magnetic connector described hereinafter. As shown in FIG. 1, the principle pursued in the context of the present invention consists in producing two parts C1, C2 of a global magnetic circuit, the primary part C1, which is an integral part of the base station, is permanently powered via its primary winding Bi, without any power can be delivered to the REC batteries of the underwater electric vehicle as the overall magnetic circuit Ci-C2, formed of the first and second magnetic circuit parts C1, C2, and therefore the Magnetic connector device according to the invention is not closed. The size of the primary magnetic circuit C1, and in particular the contact surfaces P1, P2, is configured to allow great flexibility in the positioning of the autonomous underwater electric vehicle. In particular, the contact surfaces P1, P2 of the base station S have an area substantially greater than that of the contact surfaces 51, S2 of the autonomous electric vehicle AUV. Thus, preferably autonomously, the AUV underwater electric vehicle is able to manage its coarse guidance, for example using an onboard mechanical arm, to near the base station S. When the vehicle AUV submarine electrical 25 approaches the base station, and more specifically when the secondary magnetic circuit C2, embarked by the vehicle AUV, becomes sufficiently close to the primary magnetic circuit Cl, depending on the physical characteristics of the first and second parts of magnetic circuit Cl, C2, an electromagnetic force attraction of the two magnetic circuit portions 30 is implemented, until the second magnetic circuit portion C2 comes into contact with the first magnetic circuit portion Cl and thus close the global magnetic circuit Cl-C2. Once closed, the magnetic connector device according to the invention makes it possible to form a global magnetic circuit through the primary magnetic circuits Ci and secondary C2, as shown in FIG. 3. Then, the magnetic flux B can passing from the primary magnetic circuit C1 to the secondary magnetic circuit C2. The coupling carried out by bringing the two 35077--140305-Txt depot 3018948 6 parts of magnetic circuit Ci, C2 into communication allows the transfer of energy from the base station S to the submarine electric vehicle AUV, said transfer of energy is established as long as the corresponding surfaces, P1, P2, respectively S1, S2, of the magnetic connector, are in contact. It should be noted that the direction in which the surfaces are in contact is of little importance: the surfaces P1, P2 may as well be in contact with one or the other of the surfaces Si, S2, hence a great freedom of positioning. Moreover, the contact surfaces P1, P2, S1 and S2 are configured to be able to operate in an aquatic environment, and in particular in contact with the sea. Furthermore, it is important to note that in parallel with the transfer of The magnetic connector device according to the invention can be configured to enable data exchange between the base station S and the autonomous electric vehicle AUV. Energy transfer and data exchange can for example be carried out at different frequencies.
In addition, the magnetic connector device according to the invention being intended to operate in an aquatic environment, the magnetic circuit Ci-C2 must be protected against corrosion. Two embodiments relating to protection against corrosion, corresponding respectively to active protection and passive protection against corrosion, are described below; these two embodiments can be implemented alone or simultaneously and in a complementary manner. They can be installed both on the base station S and on the autonomous electric vehicle AUV. FIG. 2 shows a schematic representation of an example of a magnetic connector device according to the invention, implemented by an autonomous electric vehicle AUV and a base station S, in an aquatic environment.
In FIG. 2, as in FIG. 1, the magnetic connector device comprises a corrosion protection of the magnetic circuit. In FIG. 1, the primary magnetic circuit Ci comprises an active and passive anti-corrosion protection, while in FIG. 2 the primary and secondary magnetic circuits Ci, C2 comprise an anti-corrosion protection, which can be active and / or passive.
Active corrosion protection is also called cathodic protection by under-current draw. In the context of such active protection against corrosion, the magnetic circuit Ci-C2 is set at a negative voltage relative to the medium - for example the sea - that is to say to a potential lower than that of the medium, via the under-draw current station 1, its positive pole being connected to a submerged reference anode. In the context of passive corrosion protection, the magnetic connector device according to the invention comprises means for creating a galvanic torque 35077-140305-Txt deposit whose magnetic circuit C1-C2 is the cathode, the sacrificial anode 2 being made of a reducing metal, electrons then being torn from the anode 2 by the magnetic circuit C1-C2. In this way, a cell is formed whose sea is the electrolyte.
The anode 2 must therefore consist of a more reducing material than the structure of the base station to be protected. These means, active or passive, taken separately or in combination, make it possible to protect against corrosion the magnetic circuit C1-C2 of the magnetic connection device according to the invention. Moreover, it can be found and mathematically demonstrated by finite element calculations within the abilities of those skilled in the art that the presence of water does not disturb the transfer of energy from the base station S to the electric vehicle. autonomous AUV, water being a diamagnetic material. Indeed, the magnetic flux is concentrated in the magnetic circuit C1-C2. Likewise, the transfer of power through the contact surfaces S1, S2; Pl, P2 of different sizes is close to 100% because there is conservation of the magnetic flux, the losses being related only to the magnetic material. Indeed, the magnetic flux B circulates well in the two magnetic circuits Cl, C2, and there is no loss in the surrounding water. It should be noted that the electrical network in which the magnetic connector device integrates can operate in single-phase as in multi-phase, typically in three-phase. In addition, the primary magnetic circuit can, in particular, be supplied with electric current, continuously in time, at a frequency of 16 Hz. According to the invention, moreover, the contact surfaces of the two magnetic circuit parts. are bare, and do not have mechanical protection. As previously described, the protection against corrosion is obtained by cathodic protection, in the form of a sacrificial anode or by imposed current. Optionally, it can be provided a Frager type coil device to avoid vibrations when the magnetic circuit C1-C2 is closed. Such a device of the Frager coil type would preferably be integrated into the 35 S base station. In operation, the Frager coil embraces a part of the main flux created by the magnetic circuit C 1-C2, the secondary flux therefore being out of phase by 35077-140305-Txt depot 3018948 8 compared to the main flow. The magnetic flux B resulting from no longer passing through 0, the vibrations of the magnetic circuit are greatly reduced. In addition, a conventional control system should preferably be provided to allow the autonomous AUV electric vehicle of the base station S to take off in order to combat the electromagnetic attraction force after charging the REC battery. It is of course possible, as already mentioned, to provide that the base station-side contact surfaces P1, P2 have an increased surface, much greater than that of the contact surfaces on the autonomous electric vehicle side S1, S2. This embodiment, in which the area of the contact surfaces of the base station P1, P2 is greater than the area of the contact surfaces of the autonomous electric vehicle Si, S2, corresponding to the schematic representations of FIGS. 1 and 2. , is also preferred since it has the advantage of facilitating the landing of the underwater electric vehicle AUV.
For example, there are provided particular embodiments in which the area of the contact surfaces of the base station P1; P2 is substantially equal to two, three or ten times the area of the contact surfaces of the autonomous electric vehicle Si, S2.
Par exemple, ce dispositif d'étanchéité peut compléter des dispositifs d'étanchéité propres, respectivement, au véhicule électrique autonome AUV ou à la station de base S.It is also within the abilities of those skilled in the art to provide that, in the context of an underwater application, a standard sealing device is placed around the magnetic circuit outside the contact surfaces P1, P2 ; If, S2. For example, this sealing device can complete clean sealing devices, respectively, to the autonomous electric vehicle AUV or to the base station S.
35077--140305-Txt depotOf course, the present invention is not limited to the examples and embodiments described and shown, but it is capable of many variations accessible to those skilled in the art. For example, the magnetic connector device according to the invention is perfectly suited to the transfer of energy to an underwater autonomous electric vehicle, but can also be implemented for any object requiring a transfer of energy without electrical contact. 35077--140305-Txt depot
