The invention relates to a breathing apparatus equipped with a micro-blower or motorized turbine for generating a flow of gas under pressure, in particular an air flow. More particularly, the invention relates to the volute with gas diffuser of particular shape. Some respirators use micro-blowers or turbines to generate pressurized gas, usually air or oxygen-enriched air, which is then sent to a patient's airway. . A turbine or micro-blower of this type is described in particular in document EP-A-2102504, which teaches a respiratory assistance apparatus for regulated delivery of a gas, particularly air, by means of a turbine comprising a housing, an air supply duct delimited by the housing, a volute whose inlet opening is in communication with the air supply duct, a finned wheel located immediately downstream from the opening inlet of the volute, comprising an inlet opening connected to this inlet opening of the volute and outlet openings opening into the volute, and a drive motor of the rotating wheel so as to generate a flow centrifugal air in the volute. The air flow thus generated is collected in a gas diffuser attached to the volute. Such a turbine arrangement is also illustrated in Figure 1 and detailed below. Such a diffuser conventionally has a curved shape and a gradually increasing diameter with the centers of sections of different coplanar diameters, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3 in particular. It is commonly spoken of "symmetrical" diffuser since it has sections symmetrical with respect to their median plane. This type of "symmetrical" diffusers poses certain problems, in particular they limit the diameter of the turbine engine that can be implemented because the lower part of the diffuser projects towards the top of the engine, hence beyond the plane including the surface. bottom of the impeller. Therefore, if the engine has a larger diameter than the wheel, it can not come to be inserted under the diffuser because the lower part of the diffuser then abuts on the top of the engine, i.e. of its outer cover. In other words, with this type of symmetrical diffuser, the diameter of the motor can not exceed that of the impeller except to change the architecture of the assembly and to move the impeller away from the upper part of the engine by positioning it further on the motor shaft. However, moving the wheel away from the engine is not inconsequential because it creates an overhang that is all the more important because the distance is large, and generates more vibrations when the motor shaft is rotated. - Increases noise, - leads to faster wear of components, - and also increases the overall size of the turbine. The problem is to be able to increase the diameter of the engine beyond that of the impeller without moving the impeller away from the engine, that is to say without having to reposition the impeller on the wheel. motor shaft of the turbine. The solution is a respiratory assistance apparatus comprising a motorized turbine cooperating with a finned wheel to generate a gas flow and a volute comprising a gas diffuser having a curved duct shape to collect at least a portion of the gas flow generated by the turbine, characterized in that the diffuser has a conduit shape comprising n successive sections, with n> 1, of internal diameters D1, D2 ... Dn progressively increasing over at least a portion of the length L of said diffuser, the centers CS1, CS2, ... CSn n different sections of the diffuser being aligned on a three-dimensional helical curve. Depending on the case, the respiratory assistance apparatus of the invention may comprise one or more of the following technical characteristics: the gas diffuser has an annular or quasi-annular duct shape. - The sections of the diffuser are tangent in the lower part to a plane perpendicular to the axis of the motor. - The diffuser sections are tangent in central part to a cylinder concentric to the axis of the engine. The cylinder has a diameter of between 20 and 100 mm, typically 35 mm. the diffuser has a shape of duct of progressively increasing inner diameter between the inlet of the diffuser and the outlet of the diffuser. the length L of the diffuser is at least 10 cm, preferably between 10 and 15 cm. the internal diameter of the diffuser is between 2 and 25 mm, preferably between 4 and 11 mm. the n successive sections have internal diameters D1, D2, Dn progressively increasing over all or almost the entire length L of the diffuser. the diffuser comprises a lower surface tangential to a plane PT perpendicular to the axis of the motor. the motor has a diameter greater than the diameter of the wheel. the diffuser is made of a polymer material, for example polycarbonate. the motor of the turbine is surmounted by a volute comprising an internal compartment including the impeller, and at least a portion of an exhaust duct for conveying gas discharged by said impeller, and a inlet opening through which gas is drawn off when the vane is rotated by the electric motor, the vane being located immediately downstream of the inlet opening. The present invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the appended figures, in which: FIG. 1 represents a cross-sectional view of a micro-blower or turbine arranged in a breathing apparatus according to the prior art; FIG. 2 illustrates the coplanar alignment of the centers of the sections of different diameters of a diffuser according to the prior art; FIGS. 3a to 3d show a diffuser according to the prior art; FIGS. 4 and 5a to 5d show a diagram of a embodiment of a diffuser according to the invention equipping the micro-blower or turbine of a respiratory assistance device, and - Figures 6a to 6c allow to compare the association of a diffuser according to the prior art and of a diffuser according to the invention to a motor of smaller diameter or, where appropriate, greater than that of the wheel.
The turbine 1 comprises an electric motor 4 which makes it possible to drive, via a rotary shaft or motor shaft 6, a fin wheel 3 for generating a flow of gas, typically a flow of air. Typically, the motor 1 can drive the impeller 3 at a speed between 0 and 100,000 rpm, typically between 10,000 and 70,000 rpm. The impeller 3 is in a volute 2 which overcomes the motorized turbine and which forms a cowling comprising a lower part of volute, commonly called lower volute, and an upper part of volute, called upper volute, coming to connect one to the other, generally by bonding to one another, and define between them an internal space or internal compartment 7 including the impeller 3, that is to say that the finned wheel 3 is taken "In sandwich" in the internal compartment 7 arranged in the lower and upper parts of the volute 2. The supply air is sucked (arrow F) by the impeller 3 via the inlet opening 9 of the volute . The air is then sent to the patient by the impeller 3, via a gas discharge duct called gas diffuser 5, in the form of a centrifugal air flow generated by the rotation of the impeller 3 when it is driven by the motor 1. The diffuser 5 communicates fluidly with the interior of the compartment 7 enclosing the impeller 3 so that the air flow generated by the impeller 3 can be collected and conveyed within said diffuser 5 of gas. In current turbines, the diffuser 5 is in the form of a progressively increasing diameter pipe which is moreover symmetrical with respect to a plane of symmetry PP which is perpendicular to the motor shaft 6 of the engine 4, that is, the AA axis. In this case, the centers CSi, CS2, ... CSn of n different sections Si, S2, ... Sn, ie n diameters, of the diffuser 5, with n> 1 (in fact, n can be very large, even stretching to infinity), are coplanar, that is to say located in the plane of symmetry PP illustrated in Figures 1 and 2.
This type of conventional arrangement in the state of the art poses the aforementioned problems, in particular it makes it necessary to move the impeller 3 away from the engine 4 if it is desired to use a motor 4 with a diameter greater than that of the impeller. fins 3, or conversely to limit the size of the motor 4, which leads to major disadvantages such as noise, increased vibration, accelerated wear .... In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a structure particular three-dimensional diffuser 5 of the volute 2, so as to allow the use of a finned wheel 3 of smaller diameter than that of the engine 4, or more precisely of its peripheral cowling enclosing the components of the engine 4, in particular the rotor, the stator ... More specifically, the particular three-dimensional structure of the diffuser 5 according to the present invention is detailed in FIGS. 4 and 5. The diffuser 5 is shown in FIG. to still in the form of a progressively increasing diameter of the duct, that is to say having successive sections Si, S2, ... Sn of increasing diameter, shaped so that the centers CSi, CS2, ... CSn of the n different sections (n> 1) of the diffuser 5 are aligned on a three-dimensional helical CH curve as illustrated in FIG. 4. The helical curve CH is defined so that all the lower or lower parts PB of the sections S 1 , S2, S3 ...., Sn are tangent to a plane PT 20 perpendicular to the axis AA of the motor 4 as visible in FIG. 4. The diffuser 5 according to the invention is shown diagrammatically in FIGS. 5a to 5d with a view to side and in plan view (Fig. 5c). As can be seen, the diffuser 5 comprises in this case a lower surface 8 (situated in the lower part PB) tangent to a plane PT perpendicular to the axis AA of the motor 4. This makes it possible to use a motor 4 of desired diameter, including 25 larger than the diameter of the wheel, without the need to move the wheel 3 of the engine 4 and thus to add cantilever, which limits the unwanted vibrations and the component wear. Figures 6a to 6c for comparing the use of a diffuser 5 according to the invention and a conventional diffuser mounted on a motor 4 of a given diameter, in particular of greater diameter than that of the wheel. Thus, in FIG. 6a, it can be seen that with a diffuser according to the prior art that is symmetrical with respect to a horizontal plane, the diameter of the motor 4 must always be smaller than that of the wheel 3, when the wheel 3 must be positioned As against, as can be seen in FIG. 6b, when the symmetrical diffuser must be associated with a motor 4 having a diameter greater than that of the wheel 3, the wheel 3 of the motor 4 must be discarded. that is to say move it away from the motor shaft 6 so that the volute and the diffuser 5 and the motor do not collide. According to the solution of the invention, a non-symmetric diffuser 5 is used as illustrated in FIG. 6c, the successive sections of progressively increasing internal diameters having their centers aligned on a three-dimensional helical curve, the diameter of the motor 4 can to be greater than that of the wheel 3 without the volute and the diffuser 5 collide with the engine 4 and this, even when the wheel 3 is positioned closer to the engine 4, that is to say when it is not far away on the motor shaft 6.
