Abstract

The invention relates to a device for managing access to a mass memory with sequential access by at least a first peripheral and a second peripheral, said first and second peripherals being adapted to access a location of the mass memory, the device comprising: a backup unit adapted to back up, for each of the first and second peripherals, a location accessed by the peripheral; a mass memory access pointing unit suitable for, on each access by a peripheral to the mass memory, saving the accessed location; a mass memory access management unit adapted so that, when the first peripheral accesses and the second peripheral issues a request for access to said mass memory: copy the content of the pointing unit from the access to the mass memory in the backup unit corresponding to the first peripheral; then copy the contents of the backup unit corresponding to the second peripheral in the pointing unit of the access to the mass memory.
