Abstract

The device has inflatable cushions (1) pneumatically inflated together and separated by an electric air pump (2), and solenoid valves (4) fixed on an air distributer (3). A control unit (5) i.e. control board, controls simultaneous or independent inflation of the inflatable cushions by a wave or an infra-red radiation. The device is dimensioned such that dimensions of the mattress are approximately 25 cm to make slipping of a bedding under the mattress. Two side rolls are respectively arranged at a bottom part and a top part of a bed.

Description

The present invention relates to a pneumatic mattress lifting device for facilitating "making" the bed. The evolution of mattresses has led to a significant increase in their weight, up to 30 kilos, creating big or even the impossibility for people with reduced strength such as elderly or physically disabled to lift the mattress to slip the sheets below . The device according to the invention makes it possible to compensate for this handicap. It consists of 4 independent tubes of rectangular section, inflated by an electric air pump and solid for good performance in its position under the mattress. The set is sized back from the dimensions of the mattress about 25 cm to allow the bedding to slide under the mattress. The entire device placed under the mattress and inflated by the air pump thus raises the mattress without effort of the operator. The tubes are or can be inflated individually. The inflation is carried out by means of the electric pump through a set of electromagnetic valves. These valves will have an air intake and a large air outlet to allow rapid deflation. Inflation is triggered by a wired or wave control. with a control panel to choose the simultaneity or independence of the movements of the mattress according to the needs of the operator. This being valid for the inflation thus the rise or deflation for the descent of the mattress.
