Abstract

Plusieurs sources d'incertitude interviennent dans l'évaluation du volume statique d'hydrocarbures d'un gisement. Un cas de base est sélectionné pour chaque source d'incertitude. Pour chaque source d'incertitude, une loi de probabilité du volume statique lorsque ladite source varie tandis que les autres sources sont conformes à leurs cas de base est estimée. Une table de conversion est construite, dont chaque ligne a, pour chaque source d'incertitude, une valeur de quantile correspondant à une valeur de volume d'après la loi de probabilité estimée pour cette source et ayant en outre une valeur résultante du volume statique calculée en fonction des valeurs de volume associées aux valeurs de quantile de la ligne. Une ligne de la table de conversion ayant une valeur résultante du volume statique d'hydrocarbures égale ou la plus proche de la valeur cible du volume statique est sélectionnée pour régler les sources d'incertitude dans un modèle géologique.
