Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a surface coating comprising illumination means and detection means. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In a dwelling or other occupied premises, surface coatings are widely present for aesthetic or comfort reasons. There is an infinite variety of style, colors, shapes and materials. Coatings such as carpets found in commerce therefore have only a function of comfort and aesthetics. The present invention provides other uses and functions of a floor covering, such as illuminating the liner itself and presence detection to activate the liner illumination and / or activate other function, such as lighting in different locations, presence audible warning, and other functions requiring detection. There are now detection systems, which are placed under a carpet for the detection of a contact on this carpet. These devices detect the presence of a weight on their surface. Detection occurs when the user is in direct contact with the surface of the coating since it detects the change in mass exerted on said surface. These devices are particularly suitable for entry into a store or a dwelling in a mandatory passage. These devices fulfill the sole function of a switch, most often used to activate a chime or a light, when a user walks on the mat advantageously positioned in an entrance or in a passage, such as the entrance of a store for example. The disadvantages of these devices lie in the fact that the detection is a function of the pressure exerted on the carpet, not allowing to detect the passage if the mass exerted is not sufficient, moreover they do not allow to fulfill the role of the decorative 30 and sometimes require some development to compensate for the surplus in thickness, since it is placed under an existing carpet, moreover, placed under an existing carpet, its positioning can move because they can slide relative to the other.
The invention aims to solve the disadvantages of traditional coatings.
Thus, the surface coating of the invention, consisting of an upper face oriented upwards and a lower face downwards advantageously in contact with the ground is characterized in that the lower face comprises proximity detection means , while said proximity detection means are made by at least one proximity sensor. According to a complementary characteristic, the capacitive proximity sensor (s) is / are produced by at least one metallic sheet disposed on the underside of the coating, while the capacitive proximity sensor (s) is / are are connected (s) to the signal management means emitted by the sensor (s), management means are arranged in a limp. Add that the coating has a lower layer disposed below the lower face and the detection means are disposed between said lower layer and the underside of the coating. According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the upper face of the coating comprises lighting means, while the detecting means controls the lighting means integrated in the coating. According to an alternative embodiment, the detection means control signal transmissions allowing through receivers devices external to the coating and independent as an alarm, or the lighting of the room or in a different place. It should be noted that the coating comprises feed means. Adding that the feed means such as a battery are arranged in the housing containing the management means. According to an alternative embodiment, the power supply means are constituted by connection means to the electrical sector. Figure 1 shows the surface coating of the invention in use. Figure 2 is a perspective view of the surface coating of the invention. Figure 3 is an exploded perspective view of the surface coating of the invention. Figure 4 is a top view of the surface coating of the invention. Figure 5 is a sectional view showing the elements of the surface coating of the invention. The invention relates to a surface coating (1) for decoration or comfort, comprising detection means (MD) and / or integrated lighting means. The invention relates to all types of coatings (1), woven, knotted, tufted or other and all forms, such as long-haired, short, with multiple colors or plain, as well as all materials. The surface coating (1) of the invention comprises an upper face (2a) and a lower face (2b) in contact with the ground. The upper face (2a) carries the decorative and comfort elements and the lower face (2b) constitutes the maintenance of the elements of the coating.
Selon l'invention, la face inférieure (21.1) comporte des moyens de détection de proximité (MD).According to the invention, the lower face (21.1) comprises proximity detection means (MD).
According to the invention, the proximity detection means (MD) are formed by at least one capacitive proximity sensor (5). The use of capacitive sensor (5) allows the detection without direct and physical contact with the object, does not undergo wear with a lifetime independent of the number of detections, has no moving part, and allows the realization of waterproof devices. According to another characteristic of the invention, the capacitive proximity sensor (s) (5) is / are produced by at least one metal foil (6) disposed on the lower face (2b) of the coating (1). ), said metal foil (6) is / are advantageously made of aluminum. The use of metal sheets (6) constituting the sensor (5) allows for a very thin and very discreet device, which makes the detection system invisible, can be placed on the underside (2b) of the coating or interposed between two constituent layers of the coating. Thus, according to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the surface coating (1) comprises a lower layer (3) disposed under the lower face (2b) and the detection means (MD) are arranged between said layer lower part (3) and the lower face (2b) of the coating, thus making it possible to protect the detection device and to isolate it from the surface to which it is applied, which, depending on the materials constituting the surface, may cause disturbances of the signal if the device does not have protection. Thus, the surface coating (1) of the invention comprises a lower layer (3) allowing the protection of the detecting means (MD) and so that they are not in direct contact with the surface on which it is arranged. . Said protective layer (3) is advantageously made of a textile material, but, according to other embodiments, it is made of rubber, plastic or other. According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the metal sheets (6) are at least two in number to distribute the detection over the entire surface coating (1) comprising said detection means (MD). The number and the size of the metal foils (6) vary according to the size of the coating (1) when it is desired that the detection be carried out on the entire surface of the coating (1). However, the device of the invention allows, thanks to multiple possibilities of arrangement of said sheets (6), the detection on a part of the surface of the coating (1) as on its entire surface. Said capacitive proximity sensor (5) producing the detecting means (MD) is / are connected to signal management means (MG). Said connection is made by electrical cables (8) in contact with said / said metal sheet (s) (6) and connected to management means (MG) of the signal, the sensor behaving like a switch. The management means (MG) of the signal emitted by the capacitive proximity sensor (s) (5) are arranged in a box (4) located on the underside (2b) of the surface coating (1). . Said management means (MG) are produced by an electronic circuit which manages the signal emitted by the metal sheet (s) (6). According to various embodiments, this electronic circuit emits a signal for activating one or more external functions or integrated in the coating. By way of example, the functions outside the surface coating may be the alarm (10b), the lighting (10a), or any other device in the room in which the coating (1) is located, or in another room or another place. Thus, the signal transmission means can be made by radio transmission or any other transmission means, such as cable, optical fiber, radio waves, satellites, etc.
According to the invention, the detecting means (MD) controls the lighting means integrated in the coating (1). The upper face of the coating comprises lighting means (ME). The lighting means (ME) are advantageously arranged on the upper face (2b) of the surface coating. According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the lighting means (ME) are introduced into an electrical circuit (9) whose power supply is controlled and managed by the management means (MG) contained in a housing (4). According to several embodiments, the lighting means (ME) are integrated during the manufacture of the coating or integrated after its manufacture.
Said illuminating means (ME) are, according to the preferred embodiment of the invention, made by LEDS with low power consumption, and according to other modes are made with optical fibers or any other lighting means.
